Emily and I love Southwest because of the free checked bags, the better service, the ability to save valuable United and American miles for international travel, and many other reasons.

Oh, and let’s not forget our favorite airline perk – the Southwest Companion Pass.  Where else can a companion get unlimited travel – on both points or cash tickets – for up to 2 years?!  Here’s a post on everything you need to know about the Southwest Companion Pass.

The Southwest credit card currently has a 50,000 point sign-up bonus after spending $2,000 within 3 months.  50,000 points can get you up to ~$850 in Southwest flights, which is pretty good for just one credit card.  Even better, the 50,000 point sign-up bonus currently counts towards the Southwest Companion Pass.

I’m very lucky that Million Mile Secrets are the best blog readers, so let’s give away some Southwest gift cards!

I love the free first bag and such a orderly and organized boarding process. Its a truly well oiled machine closly mirroring Ryan. Flying Southwest seems very laid back and thats important on vacation.

Pricing is very competitive and staff are very friendly!

Cheers

I love that there are no change fees and free checked bag if I need it.

Free bags, Friendly Stewardesses, Companion pass, cheap travel. What’s not to like?

The flight attendants actually seem to like their jobs.

1) Gets you to your destination on time – I have never had a mechanical delay while flying Southwest even though I fly them most often. On the other hand, on the few times when I flew UA and DL, I’ve had a delay and cancellation (both not weather related), respectively.

2) No change fee.

3) 2 free checked bags.
