Via View From the Wing, you can get free Silver elite status with Virgin Atlantic.  Silver status in Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club is mid-tier status, but you may be able to eventually get benefits such as priority boarding and free checked bags on Delta because of the recent Delta and Virgin Atlantic partnership.

It doesn’t hurt to sign-up for free Virgin Atlantic Silver status and it may eventually be able to get you some benefits when flying on Delta!

I have 11,000 points on Virgin Atlantic and I’m not sure what I should do with them. I have never flown on them and I don’t plan to. Do you think moving them to Hilton before they lower the transfer rate is the best bet?

reverted back for me as well! any thoughts on getting silver restored? I had made some plans around the status and the loss of it is seriously inconvernient. Wish I had taken a screenshot while I had the chance. Anyone have any ideas??
