1.   Last Chance to Transfer American Express Points to British Airways at a 35% Bonus

You can transfer Membership Rewards points to British Airways at a 35% bonus, up to Friday, June 7, 2013.  This means that 1 Membership Rewards point will get you 1.35 British Airways Avios points.

Avios points are great for short-distance travel within the US on American Airlines, and there are no  fuel surcharges for travel to South America.

2.   Earn 1,000 United Miles for Per Stays with Marriott

Loyalty Lobby writes that Marriott is offering bonus United miles per stays at participating Marriott hotels, up to a maximum of 10,000 miles, through August 30, 2013.

Registration is required for this promotion, and reservations must be made by July 13, 2013.

Not all hotels are eligible for this promotion.  Here’s a list of eligible hotels.  In addition, you have to earn United miles and give up the option to earn Marriott points if you take part in this offer.

3. Double Priority Club Points or Miles Starting with 2nd Stay

Via Loyalty Traveler, Priority Club is offering Double Points or Double Miles per stay, beginning with your second stay, through July 31, 2013.

Priority Club hotels include Candlewood SuitesCrowne Plaza,  Holiday InnHoliday Inn ExpressHotel IndigoIntercontinental Hotels & Resorts, and Staybridge Suites brand hotels.

Registration is required for this promotion.

Loyalty Traveler points out that at Staybridge and Candlewood Suites, members typically earn 5 points or 1 mile per dollar spent.  But through this bonus, you can earn 10 points or 2 miles per dollar spent at these hotels.

Finally, if your plans include traveling to Europe this summer, you can earn double points for midweek stays for stays at select hotels in Western Europe between June 17, 2013 and August 31, 2013.  Registration is required by July 31, 2013.

I just transferred 30k MR to Avios for a total of 40,500. The highest we have seen is 50%, so for me it would have been 45k instead of 40.5k not that much, so I guess if you are transferring a lot of MR then you may want to wait for but smaller amounts it is worth it and who knows if this is coming back ( Delta has not had any bonuses in 2 years, not that I care).

So I took the plunge. And BA is good about giving advance notice on mileage program changes.

@steven – You won’t lose the points if you have another AMEX card which earns membership rewards points open. See this post for more details.

@jorge– 5K is not a material difference, so perhaps better to do it sooner rather than later.

hi, i have a question about the avios bonus points program. I was contemplating if I should wait for a better promotion to show up later in the year. Obviously no one knows if a better promotion will appear later in the year but I had a question regarding the MR points. If I close my amex account because of the membership fee will the MR points disappear as well? Is it possible for me to open another MR program card like amex plat and transferring the points?
