In addition, you will also be entered into a drawing for two coach tickets on Singapore Airlines!

2.   American Express to Stop Point Advances

Via One Mile at a Time, you will no longer be able to receive a points advance (borrow points) from American Express after June 30, 2013.  Depending on your current Membership Rewards balance, you can receive an advance of 5,000 to 60,000 points.

You have one year to pay the points back and you will be charged 2.5 cents per point if you can’t pay them back.

3.   Earn Bonus Airline Miles for Booking Hotels with RocketMiles.com

Loyalty Lobby covers the new hotel booking site, RocketMiles.com.  While the price is comparable to booking directly through a hotel website, you will earn airline miles per booking.  However, you won’t earn elite status or points from the hotel since you get usually get those only for bookings through the hotel’s website.

While the only airlines you can earn miles from are American, Delta, Hawaiian, and United, generally each stay earns at least 3,000 miles per night.

Loyalty Lobby also points out that you may be paying more than the cheapest price for the hotel just to earn miles.
