Rapid Travel Chai tweeted the link to a new Club Carlson promotion where you can earn 100 free Club Carlson points a day or 4,200 Club Carlson points if you play each day up to September 24, 2012.

Club Carlson Global Giveaway

Club Carlson is the loyalty program of Carlson Rezidor Hotels which includes hotels like Country Inns and Suites, Park InnRadisson, and Radisson Blu.

You can enter the sweepstake to win 5 nights at a Club Carson hotel for two people, business class airfare, and $5,000 in spending money.  But, like most contests, your chances of winning are slim.

However,  you earn 100 free Club Carlson points for EACH day you view their entire “Vacation Book.”

Club Carlson Vacation Book

The vacation book is a series of pictures of Club Carlson hotels and I could click through them in less than a minute to get my 100 free points!

My 100 Free Points

You can do this every day from August 14, 2012 up to September 24, 2012 so you should be able to get 4,200 points by then.

1 free night at a Category 1 hotel starts at 9,000 points and top tier Category 6 hotels cost 50,000 points a night.  You can transfer points fairly easily between Club Carlson accounts, so a couple could almost get a free night at a Category 1 Club Carlson hotel through this promotion.

And these points could be helpful for the US Air Grandslam as well.

I've been doing this daily (missed a couple) since Aug 15.

My 100 points from August 15 also just posted today (thanks for noting it Anon, I saw your post then went to check).

Now, just waiting for the next couple thousand points to post!

For a data point - tried this the first day of the offer and my 100 points just posted this morning.

Hey Guys, i'm selecting "returning member", viewing the book, but when i log into my account i still don't see the points, am i doing something wrong?

Million Mile Secrets

@Vard - The points don't post instantly and may take weeks to post.

You should be able to transfer from one Club Carlson account to another (no restriction on address/family member/etc) but you have to call to do it. It's not possible via the website.

Million Mile Secrets

@adnan - I woudln't recommend that!

@Philip - You can stay in their hotels and they will have a new credit card later this year.

Thanks again for keeping me busy till September 24 - for a good reason! I didn't find how to transfer points between Club Carlson accounts. Any restrictions for the same address or only between family members?
