Is There a Way to Get the Same AMEX Business Card Twice?

Million Mile Secrets reader Jason emails:

I have 1 Starwood Preferred Guest Business Card in my name and social security number for a sole proprietorship.

Would it be possible for me to get a 2nd Starwood Business Card for my LLC (separate Employer Identification Number), and still get the bonus?  And would I be able to link it to the same Starwood Preferred Guest account or would it have to be a different account?

Is There A Way To Get The Same AMEX Business Card Twice

Will AMEX Let You Get a 2nd Business Card Using an EIN Instead of Your Social Security Number?

In my experience, American Express will NOT let folks get the same business card again, even if they apply using a different EIN.  This is in contrast to Chase who usually lets folks get the business for different businesses.

But there are workarounds if Jason wants to get more than 1 of the same business card!  I’ll explain.

Exception to the Rule Allows 2nd Bonus on IHG Card!

The fastest way to Big Travel with Small Money is credit card sign-up bonuses.  And I love when it’s possible to get a bonus for the 2nd time!

Via FlyerTalk, you can get the Chase IHG Rewards sign-up bonus again if you’ve had it in the past.  Even if it’s been less than the usual 24 months Chase makes you wait since you last got the bonus.

That’s because there’s an exception to the rule that I’ll explain!

Exception To The Rule Allows 2nd Bonus On IHG Card

80,000 IHG Points Could Get You Free Nights at Intercontinental Hotels, Holiday Inn Hotels, and More

The standard sign-up bonus for this card is 60,000 points after you spend $1,000 in the 1st 3 months.  But there’s a better offer for 80,000 points in the Wiki on this FlyerTalk thread.

Emily and I don’t earn a commission from this card, but we’ll always share the best offers with our readers!

Is this card worth getting again?  I think so!

Holiday Gift Idea: Use Miles & Points for Experiences, Exclusive Events, and More!

Most of us like to use our miles and points for travel, but did you know there are ways to redeem them for unique experiences?

I’ve written about using Chase Ultimate Rewards points for activities and experiences.  While you won’t get the most value from your points, if you don’t want to redeem for travel, this could be a good way to use them.

And there are other sites where you can use miles and points for some very interesting adventures (some of which you could never buy outright).  Some charge a flat rate, while others put experiences up for auction and the highest bidder wins.
