AMEX Platinum Cards Will Offer 2 Guests Free Lounge Access!

Yesterday I let you know about changes to the AMEX Platinum card.  And via Doctor of Credit, there’s another change we didn’t know about!

The AMEX Platinum cards, including the personal card, business card, or Mercedes-Benz card, will soon offer the cardmember AND 2 guests free access to Priority Pass lounges.  Before, you had to pay $27 per guest.  So this is great for folks who travel a lot with family and friends.

How to Add a Companion to Southwest Flights Booked Through a Travel Portal

Million Mile Secrets reader, Camilla, commented:

Can you book a Southwest flight through the Chase travel portal using Chase Ultimate Rewards points, and then add a companion if you have the Companion Pass?

Folks with the Companion Pass can add a companion to any Southwest flight.  It doesn’t matter if it’s booked directly through the airline or a travel portal!

This is good news for folks with the Companion Pass looking to get Big Travel on Southwest with the Chase Sapphire Reserve.  Because points linked to your Sapphire Reserve account are worth 1.5 cents each when you book travel through Chase.

Or those using the Pay With Points perk with the The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN.

How to Check for American Express Transfer Bonuses

Do you know how to check your AMEX account for transfer bonuses?  AMEX often offers bonus miles or points when you transfer your AMEX Membership Rewards points to travel partners.  That means your points can get you more Big Travel!

If you have a travel goal in mind, it’s easy and worthwhile to check if there are any bonuses available.  Because you could pay fewer points for your award flight or hotel stay.

Why You Should Take a Screenshot When You Apply for New Cards

Update:   One or more card offers in this post are no longer available.  Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.

Million Mile Secrets reader, Jack, commented:

My wife applied for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard.  She was approved and completed the minimum spending requirements to earn the sign-up bonus.  But after inquiring with Citi, the bank claims there is no record of her applying for an offer with a sign-up bonus.

They want proof of the offer and we do not have any.  Any suggestions?

Jack’s wife’s situation is one of the most frustrating situations readers ask about.

Folks see an offer to earn a terrific sign-up bonus, like 50,000 airline miles or free hotel nights.  Then, they apply to find out they used an outdated link.  Or the bank can’t find records of the offer.

Everyone makes mistakes, including the banks.  That’s why it’s important to keep records and take screenshots of credit card offers during the application process.

A Quick Screenshot Can Be the Difference Between Earning a Sign-Up Bonus or Not!

I’ll show you simple ways you can screenshot an offer page.
