Via Reddit, you’ll earn a 10% bonus when you transfer Citi ThankYou points to Etihad through July 5, 2017.

This is a nice little bonus if you would have moved points to Etihad anyway.  But I wouldn’t transfer points unless you have a definite plan for the miles!  Because Etihad miles expire 3 years from the date you earn them.

And Etihad miles can be incredibly valuable for certain flights.

Through July 5, 2017, you’ll get a 10% bonus when you transfer Citi ThankYou points to Etihad.  While that isn’t a huge bonus, it’s a nice surprise for folks planning to transfer ThankYou points to Etihad.

Your points transfer must be completed by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on July 5, 2017.  Citi says ThankYou Points can take up to 14 days to transfer.  But in my experience, they transfer in less than a week.  That said, I’d transfer my points early just to be safe!

Don’t move points just to take advantage of the bonus!  Etihad miles expire 3 years after you earn them, and you can’t reset the clock by having activity in your account, like other airlines.
