Via Running With Miles, Southwest has released another sale!  Through May 25, 2017, you can book Southwest flights starting at $42 or 1,861 Southwest points one-way.

There aren’t many routes for $42, but the more expensive routes are good deals, as well.  For example, a one-way flight from Washington, DC, to Fort Lauderdale costs just $69 (or 3,669 Southwest points).

You can book domestic travel between August 22 and November 1, 2017, and international travel from August 22 through November 2, 2017.  Eligible travel dates vary by route.

Do You Know How to Decide Whether You Should Jump on a Southwest Sale?

Folks like Southwest sales because when the cash price of a ticket goes down, award ticket prices go down.  That’s because Southwest award prices are based on the cash price.

Million Mile Secrets readers love Southwest because every passenger gets 2 free checked bags.  That can save lots of money!

Plus, if you have the Southwest Companion Pass, you can take a friend or family member with you for free for up to 2 years!  Emily and I consider the Southwest Companion Pass to be the best deal in travel.  And earning the Companion Pass is easy!
