Blog Giveaway Hyatt Globalist Elite Status

You Can Save Money and Get Excellent Perks With Hyatt Globalist Elite Status, Including Free Breakfast at Hotels. That Will Save You and a Partner $70 per Day at the Park Hyatt Maldives

I’ll show you how to enter!

About 2 months ago, Hyatt changed their loyalty program quite a bit, which they now call “World of Hyatt.”  Hyatt emailed me to offer 1 of our Million Mile Secrets readers Globalist elite status (the highest one!) through February 2019!

Some perks you can expect with Hyatt Globalist elite status include:

  • 30% bonus points for paid Hyatt stays
  • Free Club Lounge access with continental breakfast, and free full breakfast at Hyatt hotels without a lounge
  • Extend your stay until 4:00 pm upon request (subject to availability at some locations)
  • Free parking
  • Upgraded room based on availability at check-in, up to standard suites

Note this does NOT come with any awards you receive from earning Hyatt Globalist elite status through stays, (like 4 confirmed suite upgrades, free night at a Hyatt hotel category 1 to 7, etc.)

These benefits could potentially save you a LOT of money.  If you have the Chase Hyatt card, you might get an upgraded room when you use your sign-up bonus of 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel.  Meaning you could get even more value from a sign-up bonus that can already be worth thousands, depending on where you stay!

If this is something you’re interested in, enter this contest!

  27. I am not that interested in the Hyatt elite status, so I am going to comment here instead of crowding the linked Hyatt post. I did some back-of-the-envelop calculation to compare the cash return equivalent across hotel elite programs. By having a Chase IHG credit card and therefore the platinum status, I get 15 points per dollar spent with IHG (valued at upward 10.5% cash equivalent return).
By having a $0 annual fee Citi Hilton card and therefore the silver status and spending just $1000 on that card for Hilton stays a year, I get the equivalent of 16.25% cash back. With Hyatt I get 5 points per dollar spent, which is valued at just 9% cash back equivalent. (SPG and Marriott have even lower returns.) So if I don’t get enough hotel stays to qualify beyond the lowest elite status, what makes spending at Hyatt more valuable than hedging my hotel spending with Hilton and IHG?
