Looking for ways to earn more IHG points? Via One Mile at a Time, you can now register for IHG’s Winter 2017 Accelerate promotion, and earn bonus IHG points for completing certain tasks and stays between January 1, 2017, and April 15, 2017.
Some folks have been targeted to earn 60,000+ IHG points with this deal! That’s more enough points for a night at a luxury IHG hotel, like the InterContinental San Juan, which costs 50,000 IHG points per night.
Here’s how to register for this deal.
IHG Accelerate Promotion
Register now for IHG’s latest promotion to see how many extra points you can earn! When you sign-up, you’ll get a customized offer with a number of tasks to complete to earn IHG points for future IHG hotel stays.
IHG hotels include Candlewood Suites, Crowne Plaza, EVEN Hotels, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Resorts, Hotel Indigo, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, and Staybridge Suites brand hotels.
The tasks and total number of bonus IHG points you can earn depend on how often you stay with IHG, your elite status, and other factors.
Million Mile Secrets team member Jasmin has IHG Platinum status because she has the Chase IHG® Rewards Club Select card, but only had 2 paid nights and 2 award nights over the past year. She was offered up to 41,000 bonus IHG points for completing 4 tasks through the promotion:
She can earn 3,000 IHG points for booking just 1 stay, which is a nice bonus. But to earn the majority of the bonus points with this promotion, she’ll need to stay at least 5 nights at an IHG hotel. Which can be a lot for some folks.
Others have reported being targeted to earn 60,000+ bonus IHG points with the IHG Accelerate promotion. So register to see your offer, and decide whether it makes sense for you to move paid stays to IHG.
Don’t forget, IHG is currently running the Priceless Experiences promotion, which should stack with the new Accelerate promotion. Through February 15, 2017, MasterCard holders can earn up to a $100 MasterCard gift card when they stay twice at IHG hotels.
Is This a Good Deal?
I’d suggest signing-up for the deal even if you don’t have any IHG hotel stays planned. Because it’s free and easy to register, and you never know when a travel opportunity might come up!
But depending on your particular offer, it may or may not make sense to stay at an IHG hotel just to earn bonus points.
Plus, there are other easy ways to earn IHG points, like buying points with the Cash & Points trick. Or applying for the Chase IHG card which comes with a 60,000 IHG point sign-up bonus after meeting minimum spending requirements. And a $50 statement credit after your first purchase.
Don’t forget, you can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to IHG at a 1:1 ratio. But only if you have certain cards, like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, Ink Business Preferred, or Ink Plus and Ink Bold (no longer available).
Although usually you’ll save more money by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to partners like Hyatt and United Airlines. But it might make sense if you’re booking a hotel on the PointBreaks list. 😉
With IHG’s new 2017 Accelerate promotion, you can earn bonus IHG points for completing tasks and stays at IHG hotels. The deal is valid for stays between January 1, 2017, and April 15, 2017, booked directly with IHG.
