The new Chase Ink Business Preferred card is an exciting offer for many folks.  Because it comes with a big sign-up bonus of 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after meeting spending requirements.

Million Mile Secrets team member Keith was approved for the Ink Business Preferred the day it launched.  He was thrilled about the sign-up bonus offer and ongoing perks, like $600 in cell phone insurance.

And he was kind enough to share photos of the card opening and activation.

It’s exciting to receive and activate a new card with a big sign-up bonus and terrific perks like the Ink Business Preferred.

Team member Keith received his card 2 days after applying.  It came in a UPS express envelope.

The card is plastic.  So it doesn’t have the same metal design and feel as the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Sapphire Preferred.

80,000 Point Chase Ink Business Preferred Offer

You can earn 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points with the Ink Business Preferred card after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

You also get:

  • 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards points for every $1 you spend on travel, shipping purchases, internet, cable and phone services, advertising purchases made with social media sites, and search engines (up to a maximum of $150,000 in combined purchases per account anniversary year)
  • 1X Chase Ultimate Rewards points on all other purchases
  • Up to $600 in cell phone insurance when you pay your cell phone bill with the card
  • 25% bonus when you redeem points through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal
  • Primary auto rental insurance (CDW) when renting for business purposes, plus purchase and extended warranty protection

Team member Keith applied for the card because of the Big Travel he can get with the sign-up bonus.  Chase Ultimate Rewards points are extremely flexible and offer terrific travel rewards options.

After he earns the sign-up bonus, he wants to book a one-way United Airlines Business Class flight from the US to New Zealand, which costs 70,000 United Airlines miles.

Plus, he plans to pay his cell phone bill with this card so he can get the automatic cell phone insurance.

Remember, this card is impacted by Chase’s stricter application rules.  So if you’ve opened 5+ cards from any bank (except these business cards) in the past 24 months, it’s unlikely you’ll be approved.

If you’re in that situation, you might consider small business cards issued by other banks, like The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN.  It currently has a huge 100,000 AMEX Membership Rewards point welcome bonus after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.

Bottom Line

Folks are anxious to get the Ink Business Preferred card delivered so they can meet the minimum spending requirement to earn the 80,000 point sign-up bonus!

Aside from the great sign-up bonus, you also earn 3X bonus points on purchases like travel and shipping.  And you get up to $600 of automatic cell phone insurance when you pay your monthly cell phone bill with the card.
