If you missed the Cyber Monday festivities, there’s still time to get some nice deals!
I’ll show you some of the deals still available, and how to maximize them!
IHG Cyber Monday Sales
Link: IHG Cyber Monday Week
IHG is celebrating Cyber Monday all week long! And while there aren’t any jaw-dropping deals, lots of folks could use the lower prices for holiday travel and beyond.
Some of the deals are:
- Save 15% to 30% in the US, Caribbean, and more
- Save 30% in Mexico
- Save 15% to 25% in Canada
- New auction items added each day
All deals are for participating hotels only, so check the prices of your desired hotel before making other plans.
Discounted Points & Cash Reservations
You will get a 10% discount on the cash portion of your Points & Cash booking (15% if you have the Chase IHG card!). IHG ran a similar promotion back in July. This is a good opportunity for folks to buy IHG points at a discount (even less than the current 100% bonus on IHG points!).
IHG normally sells points for 1.15 to 1.35 cents each. And you can buy points for as little as 0.6 cents each with the IHG Points & Cash trick. But if you use this promotion AND the Points & Cash trick, you’ll pay even less for your IHG points! You can buy IHG points for just 0.59 cents per point.
For example, you can book a room with Points & Cash at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites : Portland-Nw Downtown for 15,000 IHG points plus ~$89 (with the Cyber Monday discount) as long as you are an IHG Rewards member. This room regularly costs 30,000 IHG points.
Using the Points & Cash Trick, you’re essentially buying 15,000 IHG points (30,000 – 15,000 IHG points) for ~$89, or ~0.59 cents per point (~$89 / 15,000 points = ~0.59 cents per point). And you’ll save even more if you have the Chase IHG card.
Buying 14,000 points through IHG’s current 100% bonus sale would cost ~$95. That’s 0.68 cents per point (~$95 / 14,000 points = ~0.68 cents per point).
This is an excellent way to buy points at a discount.
There are also plenty of ways to earn IHG points, like:
- Signing-up for the Chase IHG credit card – Welcome bonus of 60,000 IHG points after completing minimum spending (and an annual free night at ANY IHG hotel after your cardmember anniversary)
- IHG Dining program – Earn bonus miles at participating restaurants
- Promotions – IHG runs lots of promotions that give you more chances to earn points, like the current IHG Priceless Experiences promotion
IHG is running Cyber Monday deals until Friday, December 2, 2016, at 8:00 pm Eastern time. You can find discounts on hotels in North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
You can also get discounts on the cash portion of Points & Cash reservations! This allows you to buy IHG points at a big discount using the IHG Points & Cash trick.
Let me know if you find a good deal!
