Save on British Airways Tickets With AARP
Link: Join AARP
British Airways and AARP have extended their promotion which saves you $65 to $400 on paid, round-trip, trans-Atlantic flights on British Airways (including OpenSkies) from the US. You now have until January 31, 2017, to book your flights.
But you’ll still have to complete your travel by March 31, 2017.
You can only get the discount for round-trip tickets (NOT one-way tickets or open-jaws) originating in the US. And only US residents qualify. To get the discount, you must book through the British Airways AARP discount site.
You will save:
- $65 off coach
- $130 off Premium Economy
- $400 off Business Class and First Class
So you’ll get the best value when you book a Business Class ticket. And sometimes there are incredible fare sales! Read my previous posts on how to stack this deal with fare sales (no longer available) to cities like London, Paris, and Tel Aviv.
Plus, if you have the Chase British Airways card, you’ll get an extra 10% off your British Airways flight.
AARP Membership Is Good for More Than Just Discount Airfare
You’ll get discounts on other things, too, like:
- 15% off general products and services at UPS
- Save up to 25% on car rentals from Avis, Budget, and Payless
- Save 5% to 20% on hotel stays at brands like Hilton, Sheraton, and Wyndham
- Save 10% on monthly service charges, and 15% on eligible accessories with AT&T
- 30% off Ancestry.com membership
Check the AARP site for a full list of discounts.
The British Airways AARP discount on flights from the US has been extended to January 31, 2017, for travel through March 31, 2017. Depending on the type of fare you buy, AARP members can save $65 to $400 on a round-trip ticket!
There is no age limit to join AARP. And it’s just $16 per year. So if you buy a single round-trip ticket from British Airways, you’ll be saving much more than the price for an annual subscription.
