Via View From the Wing, you can now earn 1 Delta mile per $1 you spend on Airbnb stays.

To earn the miles, you’ll need to book your Airbnb stay through the Delta Airbnb website.

There’s also a promotion for new Airbnb guests to earn 1,000 Delta miles on qualifying first stays.  And new Airbnb hosts can earn up to 25,000 Delta miles after meeting certain requirements!

When you book Airbnb stays through Delta’s Airbnb page, you’ll earn 1 Delta mile per $1 you spend.

Plus, new Airbnb guests who sign-up through the new Delta Airbnb site can earn:

  • $25 Airbnb credit toward an eligible stay of $75+
  • 500 Delta miles for a first stay of $75+
  • 1,000 Delta miles for a first stay of $150+

And new Airbnb hosts who sign-up through the new Delta Airbnb site can earn:

  • 2,500 Delta miles after reaching $250 in total earnings
  • 7,500 Delta miles after reaching $1,000 in total earnings
  • 15,000 Delta miles after reaching $2,500 in total earnings

Airbnb has similar partnerships with Virgin America and Qantas.

The Airbnb and airline partnerships are a great way to earn miles on stays you were already planning.  And I’m a big fan of Airbnb because:

  • Airbnb is a cheap alternative to hotels
  • There are usually many more Airbnb options in cities and rural areas than hotel options
  • Airbnb gives you the opportunity to stay with locals and understand the culture

Plus, you can double dip by earning miles with the new partnerships and by paying for your stay with a credit card that earns bonus points on travel purchases like the Citi Prestige, Chase Sapphire Preferred, or Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Or redeem Barclaycard Arrival miles for Airbnb stays!

Bottom Line

You can now earn 1 Delta mile per $1 you spend on Airbnb stays when you book through the Delta Airbnb website.

New Airbnb guests and hosts can also earn additional bonus Delta miles by signing-up through the new Delta Airbnb page and meeting the requirements.
