I found a better offer for the Chase IHG® Rewards Club Select Credit Card!  You’ll earn 60,000 IHG points after meeting minimum spending requirements, plus a $50 statement credit after your first purchase.

The regular offer for the card does NOT include the statement credit, so this is a better deal.

Emily and I don’t earn a commission from the Chase IHG card, but we’ll always share the best offers with our readers!

Plus, you’ll earn 5,000 IHG points when you add an authorized user and make a purchase in the first 3 months of opening your account.

What Can You Do With the Bonus?

Or you could splurge on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to resorts like the InterContinental Thalasso Bora Bora.

My favorite perk of the Chase IHG card is that each year on your card anniversary, you’ll get a certificate for a free night at any IHG hotel.  Even at their most expensive resorts!

IHG hotels include Candlewood SuitesCrowne Plaza, EVEN Hotels, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Resorts, Hotel IndigoInterContinental Hotels & Resorts, and Staybridge Suites brand hotels.

It’s well worth paying the $49 annual fee when you can get an award night worth hundreds of dollars!

Don’t Forget Chase’s Approval Rules

Remember, Chase now has stricter approval rules.  So if you’ve opened ~5 or more credit cards from any bank (excluding certain business cards) in the past 24 months, it’s unlikely you’ll be approved for most Chase cards.

If you’ve recently (within ~90 days) received the card with the regular offer without the statement credit, it’s worth calling Chase or sending them a secure message to see if they’ll match you to the better offer.

And if you’re not in a hurry to get this card, you might want to wait, because there have been better sign-up bonuses (as much as 80,000 IHG points) in the past.

  1. pffff … I got it 2 months ago with 80,000 points and $50 statement credit 😉
It was a personalized offer I received in the mail after signing up for the 60,000 one
    and Chase matched it 😀

  2. Pfff…pfff….I too signed up for the 60K offer and tried to get Chase to match the 80K+$50, but they said they couldn’t get me the statement credit and instead gave me the 80K + an additional 10K points. So, I got 90K points total.

  3. I loved the IHG game from last year. My grandkids loved doing the elevator game to see how many points we got. We got enough to spend a week in Wichita visiting my 87 year old aunt. Thanks for the tip on the game.

  4. This is a great card with anual free night

  5. My understanding is that this card is not subjected to the 5/24 rule?

  6. Can you have more than 1 IHG personal card? Do they also have a business card?

  7. You mean I missed the 80,000 point + $50 statement credit offer again?!? I have been looking for that for like 2 years!!! I always keep missing it 🙁
