Blog Giveaway 9,800 Southwest Points

9,800 Southwest Points Is Enough for a One-Way Award Flight From Cleveland to Cancun!

I’ll show you how to enter!

Southwest recently opened its schedule for flights through March 7, 2017.

Southwest has some of the best deals for domestic travel (and some international travel, too!).  It’s a good idea to book your Southwest flights early, because dates can sell out fast!

You can earn Southwest points by signing up for the Chase Southwest credit cards, or by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards to Southwest with credit cards like the Ink Plus® Business Credit Card.

With the Chase Ink Plus, you will earn 70,000 bonus points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.  But the offer is only available in-person at a Chase branch.  You can read my review of the Chase Ink Plus here.

If you’re not near a Chase branch (or prefer online applications), you can apply online for the lower 60,000 point offer.  The call Chase and ask if they’ll match you to the higher bonus.  No guarantees!

That’s a LOT of potential travel with Southwest.  And if you enter this giveaway, you can win 9,800 more Southwest points!

Note:   Buying and transferring points will NOT count towards earning the Southwest Companion Pass, which allows a friend or family member to fly with you for almost free on paid and award tickets for up to 2 years.

How to Enter

You can complete as many of the tasks as you want.  You’ll get 1 entry for each item you complete.  The more ways you enter, the more chances you have to win!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

You can enter until July 9, 2016, (today) at 9:00 pm Central Time.

Good luck!

  1. I have never been to Mexico and would love to visit the sites there.

  2. Mexico is the best option for sure.

  3. Would like to explore SW newer routes to Mexico!

  4. My biggest gripe with Southwest Rapid Rewards is that it’s more like a discount program than a loyalty program due to the fact that the value of the point is loosely tied to the cost of airfare (taxes excluded). But at the very least you don’t have to stockpile points worrying if you should pay cash or with points. The only thing is that you gotta burn your points ASAP in case of any devaluations. The points are best for going anywhere, as long as you have enough to buy a ticket!

  5. Thanks for the great info everyday on your blog!

  6. Cancun baby, Cancun!

  7. Now for a Caribbean vacation!

  13. I love using Southwest points to get free flights to short-haul destinations that are just long enough to justify flying, but not worth the points on other airlines.

  14. Vegas baby!

  15. I recently got the Companion card mainly with 2 SW Chase cards as advised in your blog. Then we add more points thru the SW portal with different purchases with bonus points like Groupon or magazines, 1-800-Flowers (for gift purchases during Mother’s Day) etc. So the points add up pretty fast.
We just took advantage of it by booking a trip to Las Vegas for the July 4 weekend, so my wife’s trip cost only $11.20 for taxes. On the return trip home, the flight was overbooked and they asked for 10 volunteers. We accepted it and were compensated with 2 vouchers. Mine is valued at $485 (although I paid for it with points valued about $200) and my wife’s voucher is valued as $400 (although I paid only $11.20 for her companion ticket).
Bottom line: we did a very good score and enjoyed the big travel at a very small price. Thanks to MMS.
