Good news!  Through July 6, 2016, the American Express Delta credit cards have increased sign-up bonuses!

You’ll earn 50,000 Delta miles with the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express, both personal and small business, and 60,000 Delta miles with the American Express Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card card after completing minimum spending.

Limited Time Increased Sign Up Bonuses On AMEX Delta Cards

There Are Limited-Time Increased Sign-Up Bonuses on 3 AMEX Delta SkyMiles Cards!

Usually, the sign-up bonuses for these cards are 30,000 to 35,000 Delta miles, so this is a very good deal!

What’s the Deal?

Just remember, American Express only allows folks to get the sign-up bonus ONCE per person, per lifetime on ALL their cards.

So if you’ve had any of these cards before, you won’t be eligible for the sign-up bonus again.

But if you already have the personal version of the card, you can still get the business card, because they’re considered different card products.

How to Use Delta Miles

Delta miles can sometimes be hard to use, and not having an award chart doesn’t make it easier!

But in my experience, as long as you can be flexible and book in advance, you can often find low-level award seats on many routes.

Low-Level Award Seats to Hawaii in Coach Are Only 45,000 Delta Miles Round-Trip

You can also redeem Delta miles for award flights on SkyTeam airlines like KLM or Air France.  Or on non-alliance partners like Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

Bottom Line

The sign-up bonuses on the AMEX Gold Delta SkyMiles personal and business cards and Platinum Delta SkyMiles card have been increased until July 6, 2016.

You’ll earn 50,000 Delta miles after meeting minimum spending requirements with the AMEX Gold Delta SkyMiles personal and business cards.  And 60,000 Delta miles with the AMEX Platinum Delta SkyMiles card.

This is a very good deal for both American Express Gold SkyMiles cards, because the $95 annual fee is waived for the first year.  But you’ll have to decide if you want to pay the $195 annual fee (not waived) on the Platinum card.

Let me know your favorite way to use Delta miles!

  1. You hit the nail on the head with “as long as you can be flexible and book in advance, you can often find low-level award seats on many routes.”

Its difficult (and frustrating) to look for award seats on Delta. But sometimes spending some effort can get you pretty good deals.

Last year our family of 4 flew ATL -DFW round-trip for 10K points each. We’ll be flying to Cancun next month, non-stop both ways for 30K points each (though I must agree, I had to spend around an hour looking for suitable flights and dates for Cancun).

  2. Has anyone had success in transferring credit from the personal card to the business version and still getting the sign up bonus? I have the AMEX Delta Personal card and my annual fee is coming up soon. I plan on cancelling anyway to make room for another AMEX card, and am wondering if I should just attempt to transfer the account to the business version. Any other ideas?

  3. Hi Daraius, Does AMEX still have the 4 credit cards limit ? I currently have 4 personal credit cards, I personal charge card and 1 business credit card with them. Shall I still apply for a Business or personal Delta card ?? Pls advice…. Thank you !!!

  4. Is the Delta Platinum card considered a different product than the Gold? If I upgrade from Gold to Platinum will I be eligible for the bonus?

  5. Does anyone have a screenshot or the terms and conditions for the offer described on this page for the
Platinum Delta SkyMiles Card From American Express? (details posted below). Here is the link to the promotion that is no longer valid: http://millionmilesecrets.com/go/AMEXDeltaPlatinum60K201606/

I need them because American Express and Delta don’t believe me that the offer included 10,000 MQMs. Also, the offer terms and conditions had no mention that the offer was for New Card Members Only. I double checked and made sure about that. I did, however, see that the offer for the Select card was not for existing members because I was also considering that card.
