Pay Almost 50% Fewer Miles for Delta Award Flights

Via Reddit, Delta has discounted award seats on certain flights within the mainland US and Alaska.  You must book your ticket by June 7, 2016.  And travel between August 23 and November 16, 2016.

Tickets must be booked at least 21 days before departure.

Here’s a sample of the one-way coach award seats on sale:

  • Phoenix to Seattle – 7,000 Delta miles
  • Austin to Los Angeles – 9,000 Delta miles
  • Los Angeles to Miami – 10,000 Delta miles
  • New York (JFK) to New Orleans – 10,000 Delta miles

All of the sale routes aren’t listed, so it’s worth checking the price from your city if you have a destination in mind.

Remember, you’ll still have to pay taxes, but they’re very cheap (usually ~$6 each way).  If you have plans to fly later this year, book your award seats now and save miles.  In some cases, the prices are almost 50% less!

Need More Delta Miles?

You can transfer AMEX Membership Rewards points to Delta at a 1:1 ratio.  Or consider the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express card.

You’ll earn 30,000 Delta miles after spending $1,000 on purchases within 1st 3 months of opening your account.  And get a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new card in the 1st 3 months.  The $95 annual fee is waived for the 1st year.
