This promotion has limited quantity and will sell out fast!
I’ll explain why this is a great promotion!
Discounted Hyatt Points
Daily Getaways has a new promotion every weekday until May 4, 2016 Each day, they offer a different travel discount deal, like hotel points, vacation packages, and theme park tickets.
On April 29, 2016, at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, you can buy deeply discounted Hyatt points for ~1.04 to 1.1 cents per point:
- 24,000 Hyatt points for $260 (~1.08 cents per point)
- 30,000 Hyatt points for $330 (1.1 cents per point)
- 40,000 Hyatt points for $415 (~1.04 cents per point)
- 72,000 Hyatt points for $775 (~1.07 cents per point)
Although the promotion advertises 2 or 3 nights stay at a Hyatt hotel, you’re actually buying Hyatt points! These can be used any way you’d like!
Is It Worth It?
Depending on how you use your points, absolutely!
For example, you could buy 72,000 Hyatt points for $775 and stay a weekend at the Park Hyatt New York (30,000 Hyatt points per night). A sample May 2016 itinerary costs ~$1,915 after taxes. With this Daily Getaways deal, you’ll save ~$1,140 on the normal room rate (~$1,915 cash cost of room – $775 cost of points).
You will even have 12,000 Hyatt points remaining for a stay at a different Hyatt hotel!
Or you could buy 40,000 Hyatt points for $415 and stay a weekend at the Hyatt Place Tampa Busch Gardens (8,000 Hyatt points per night). A sample 5-night stay in July 2016 costs ~$940 after taxes.
So you’ll save ~$525 by purchasing the Daily Getaways promotion (~$940 cash cost of room – $415 cost of points).
You Have to Be Quick
In the past, these deals have sold out within minutes!
The limit is 1 package per loyalty account number. And no more than 4 packages across all the Hyatt hotel offers.
Whichever package you choose, you’ll see the points in your account within 10 business days.
Which Card to Use When Buying Daily Getaways Deals
Daily Getaways deals should code as travel. My friend bought Choice hotel points and it posted as a travel purchase.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred – 2 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 you spend on travel
- Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard – 2% back when you redeem points for travel purchases of $100+
- Citi ThankYou Premier – 3X Citi ThankYou points per $1 you spend on travel

There’s only ONE credit card that earns Hyatt points directly. The Chase Hyatt card gets you 2 free nights at any Hyatt after you spend $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account.
You could combine the 2 free nights from the Chase Hyatt card with the 72,000 Hyatt points purchased from the Daily Getaways promotion for a 4 night stay at a top category 7 Hyatt (which normally costs 30,000 points per night).
Also, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards link instead to points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. There’s no fee to convert points, and transfers are usually instant.
