There’s a better offer for the AMEX EveryDay® Credit Card from American Express!

In addition to the usual sign-up bonus of 10,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 3 months, you’ll also get a $25 credit on a $25+ purchase at Newegg.

And a complimentary year of Newegg Premier membership (worth ~$50), which gets you free expedited shipping and other perks when you shop at Newegg.

So I’ve replaced my link that earns a commission with this link for the offer that earns us nothing!  Scroll down the page to see the banner ad for the card!

If You Shop a Lot a Newegg, the Premier Membership Feature Can Save You (and up to Four Friends) a Lot of Money on Shipping and Fees!

You’ll get a $25 statement credit when you make a $25+ purchase at Newegg with the first 3 months.  This offer also comes with a year of Newegg Premier membership, which gets you perks like:

  • Free expedited shipping on qualifying products
  • Free returns and no restocking fees
  • Rush processing on orders
  • Exclusive deals and special alerts about big sales
  • Four friends or family members on your account to share your perks

The AMEX EveryDay Card Earns 2X AMEX Membership Rewards on Grocery Purchases. And 20% More Points When You Make 20 or More Purchases in a Single Billing Cycle!

You’ll also earn:

  • 2 AMEX Membership Rewards points per $1 at US supermarkets up to $6,000 a year
  • AMEX Membership Rewards point per $1 on other purchases
  • Terms and Limitations Apply

And, if you use the card to make 20 or more purchases within a billing cycle, you will earn an extra 20% Membership Rewards points, less returns and credits.  There is no minimum transaction amount for any of those 20 purchases.

The card has NO annual fee.  But there is a ~3% foreign transaction fee, so it’s not a good card to use overseas.

And because this is an AMEX card, you’ll save money with access to AMEX Offers and free ShopRunner shipping.

Remember, you can only earn the sign-up bonus on AMEX cards ONCE per person, per lifetime.  So if you’ve had this card before, you can NOT get the bonus again.

Should You Sign-Up?

The sign-up bonus is not a lot, but the card has NO annual fee.  So it’s comparable to the sign-up bonus on the Chase Freedom or Chase Freedom Unlimited card.

If you want to earn AMEX Membership Rewards points that transfer to travel partners, you can get a better sign-up bonus with other AMEX cards, but they all have annual fees.

The AMEX EveryDay Card Has NO Annual Fee. And You Can Transfer AMEX Membership Rewards Points to Hotel and Airline Partners for Big Travel!

The AMEX EveryDay card is the only no annual fee card that earns American Express Membership Rewards points that are transferable to partner airlines and hotels.

Note:   American Express charges an excise fee of 0.06 per point, up to a maximum of $99, when you transfer Membership Rewards points to US airlines.

And it’s an easy way to keep your American Express Membership Rewards points from expiring.  For a card with NO annual fee, that can be useful.

You could also convert an existing AMEX personal credit card to the AMEX EveryDay card, but you wouldn’t earn the sign-up bonus in that case.

Some folks will also do better with the AMEX EveryDay Preferred card, which has a $95 annual fee.  Here’s how to decide which card is better for your spending habits.

The Newegg Perks Are the Dealmaker for Some Folks

The biggest difference from the usual offer is the Newegg benefits, which are worth an extra ~$75 ($25 statement credit + a Newegg Premier membership worth ~$50).

So if you shop at Newegg often, and think you’ll make the most of the Newegg Premier membership, it can be a good deal, especially if you were considering this card anyway!

Bottom Line

There’s a better sign-up bonus on the AMEX EveryDay card!  You’ll earn 10,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 3 months.

To see the offer, scroll down to the bottom of the Newegg promotion page and look for the banner ad.

You’ll also get a $25 statement credit when you spend $25+ at Newegg within the first 3 months.  And complimentary Newegg Premier membership for a year.

We don’t earn a commission for this card, but Emily and I will always tell you about the best deals!

This is a good offer if you shop at Newegg a lot.  Or if you want a no annual fee AMEX card that earns transferable points.

  2. I was seeing a 25K offer on the Everyday and 30K on the Everyday Preferred several months back with a private browser. It might be worth it to wait until those show up since this is a once per lifetime bonus.

  3. I received a 50K offer for the Everyday Preferred in the mail. I’m debating whether or not to apply.

  4. I’ll wait for the 25K offer to come back.
