Splurge on a Night at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort With Your Hilton Points

And the total offer of 50,000 Hilton points is enough for an award night, depending on the season, at Hilton hotels like the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort or the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach.

You’ll also get:

  • 6 points for every $1 you spend at Hilton hotels
  • 3 points for every $1 you spend at supermarkets, drug stores, and gas stations
  • 2 points for every $1 you spend on everything else
  • Free Hilton Silver elite status (late check-out, 2 free bottles of water, and 15% points bonus on Hilton points earned)
  • Free Hilton Gold elite status (free breakfast) after staying 4 times at Hilton in the 1st 90 days or after spending $20,000 in a calendar year
  • 10,000 Hilton points at the end of a calendar year when you spend $1,000 or more at Hilton hotels

This card has NO annual fee, so it’s a good card to keep forever to help boost your credit score.  But it’s not good for travel abroad, because it adds a 3% foreign transaction fee.

The Citi Hilton Visa Has NO Annual Fee, So It’s Great to Keep for the Long Haul. And If You Like to Shop, You Can Save Money With Citi Price Rewind

Because the Hilton HHonors Visa is issued by Citi, you get Citi Price Rewind protection for certain purchases.

Many folks have been able to earn the sign-up bonus again even if they’ve had the card before.

But according to Citi, you can NOT get the bonus if you’ve opened or closed the same card in the past 18 months.

Note:   If you sign-up, keep in mind the usual Citi card application rules apply.  Only 1 card application per day, at least ~8 days between applications, and no more than 2 applications within ~65 days!

Should You Sign-Up?

This is better than the regular offer of 40,000 Hilton points.  But there have been offers as high as 75,000 Hilton points in the past.

But if you already have other Hilton cards, or prefer a card with no annual fee, this could be a good choice for you.

Or, if you want to build your Hilton points balance for an award redemption and don’t want to wait for a better offer, you might decide to apply.

There Are Lots of Ways to Earn More Hilton Points! You Might Sign-Up for the Citi Hilton Visa If You Need More Points for an Award Night. Though My Favorite Hilton Card Is the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card. Because With It You Can Earn 2 Weekend Nights at Nearly Any Hilton Hotel, Like the Conrad Tokyo!

If you spend a lot at Hilton hotels, other cards earn more points for Hilton stays.

My favorite Hilton card is the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve, because you get 2 weekend nights at almost any Hilton, including the Conrad Tokyo, when you complete the minimum spending requirements.  Plus, you get Hilton Gold elite status for free breakfast.

That said, if you already have the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve card, or prefer a card with NO annual fee, the Citi Hilton Visa card is a good choice.  Or you can have both because they’re considered different card products.

Remember, there are lots of ways to earn Hilton points!

You can earn 50,000 Hilton points when you sign-up for the Citi Hilton Visa and spend $1,000 on purchases within the 1st 4 months of opening your account.

  1. Daniel,
I’m not sure, but I think one has no annual fee, and the other does.

  2. @Daniel – Thank you for letting us know! We always appreciate it when readers give us a heads-up on better deals.

  3. If I have had this card before but cancelled it, will I receive the bonus miles after minimum spend?

  4. The extra points for drugstore spends is why I use this card. (It’s really hard to find a credit card with this benefit.)

  5. when do you think the 60k offer will end? any chance for the 75k offer to come back soon?

  6. @Kathy – You can not get the bonus again if you’ve opened or closed the same card in the past 18 months.

    @Terri M – I agree. It’s a terrific perk of the card!

@Joe – I don’t have any information about when or if the 75,000 Hilton points offer will return – or when this offer will end. But you can always ask Citi to match a new offer if there’s a better 1 within 90 days from when you open your account.
