As I’ve been sharing some of my favorite IHG hotels to use the annual free night from the Chase IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card in the US and in Europe, I’ve found there’s a better offer for this card!

Normally, you’ll earn 60,000 IHG points after you complete the minimum spending.  With this offer, you’ll also earn a $50 statement credit after your 1st purchase.

Emily and I don’t receive a commission for this offer, but we’ll always share the best deals with you!

Use Your Chase IHG Sign-Up Bonus to Stay at the InterContinental Toronto Centre, Close to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre for Blue Jays Games!

Let’s see what you’ll get with the Chase IHG card!

What’s the Deal?

Link:   My Review of the Chase IHG Card

When you spend $1,000 on purchases in the 1st 3 months of opening your Chase IHG card, you’ll earn 60,000 IHG points.  And with this offer, you’ll also receive a $50 statement credit after your 1st purchase.

That’s a terrific deal!  You can get lots of Big Travel from the sign-up bonus.  Stretch your points for stays at budget-friendly chains like Holiday Inn, or splurge on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to resorts like the InterContinental Thalasso Bora Bora.

And the $50 statement credit more than makes up for the $49 annual fee, which is waived the 1st year.

You Can Use Your Free Night at ANY IHG Hotel – Even at Luxury Resorts in the South Pacific!

I’ve already said this is a card worth paying the annual fee for, because you get a free night at any IHG hotel (even their luxury resorts!) each year of card membership.  That could be worth hundreds of dollars more than the $49 annual fee.

The $50 statement credit makes this card a no-brainer!

With this card, you’ll also get:

  • IHG Platinum elite status (free upgrades when available, priority check-in, and elite rollover nights)
  • A free night at any IHG hotel worldwide each year of card membership
  • 5X IHG points for every $1 you spend at IHG hotels
  • 2X IHG points per $1 you spend at restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations
  • 1X IHG point per $1 you spend on everything else
  • 10% rebate on redeemed points (up to 100,000 IHG points a year)
  • NO foreign transaction fees

What If You’ve Recently Applied for the Card?

If you’ve recently (within ~90 days) received the card with the regular offer without the statement credit, it’s worth calling Chase or sending them a secure message to see if they’ll match you to the better offer.

There have also been targeted offers available recently that include a sign-up bonus of 80,000 IHG points.  Folks have reported Chase matching them to that offer, too.

If You Recently Applied for This Card, Give Chase a Call to See If They’ll Match You to the Better Offer!
Chase is normally very good about helping folks out!  And it never hurts to ask.

Bottom Line

There’s a better offer for the Chase IHG card.  You’ll earn 60,000 IHG points after you meet the minimum spending requirements, plus a $50 statement credit after your 1st purchase.

And you’ll still receive a free night at any IHG hotel (even their most expensive resorts!) after each year you’re a cardmember.  It’s absolutely worth paying the $49 annual fee, which is waived the 1st year.

The $50 statement credit is a terrific extra bonus!  If you’ve recently signed-up for the card, it’s worth calling or messaging Chase to see if they’ll match you to the better offer.

We don’t earn a commission for this offer, but Emily and I always tell you about the best deals!

Let me know your favorite places to use your IHG points!
