However, you’re limited to 3 separate bookings per person for this deal.

Note:  This is a 3rd-party booking, which means you shouldn’t earn points or have your elite status recognized.  But readers report they’ve been able to add their loyalty program number with the hotel directly and still earn points and get perks!

Other Terms & Conditions

  • Offer is limited-time although there’s no end date published
  • Check-in on or before February 29, 2016 to get the deal
  • All bookings are pre-paid, non-refundable and non-transferrable.  They’re booked in Canadian dollars (so use a card that doesn’t add foreign transaction fees like the Chase Sapphire Preferred!)

While the terms say it’s a pre-paid booking, folks report you’re not actually charged until you check-out of the hotel.  And they’ve been able to use the AMEX pre-paid gift card to cover part of the hotel cost!

Is This a Good Deal?

This could be an excellent deal, depending on the hotel and your timing.  But don’t book unless your travel plans are firm, because you can’t get a refund!

Remember, Canada is a cheap destination for Americans right now because the Canadian dollar is weak against the US dollar.  Currently, $1 is worth ~1.31 Canadian dollars.

You can also use miles and points to fly on other airlines from the US, including:

  1. Be aware before you book –Vancouver winters are NOT mild.. So expect sleet, snow, freezing rain. My face is still stinging from just trying to cross the street. If you book find out if the hotel is on the underground passage route downtown.
