Check your American Express account!  Some folks are being targeted to save $10 on a $10+ purchase at participating small businesses.

In the past, American Express had offered statement credits to everyone with an AMEX card when they made purchases at local stores on Small Business Saturday.  But they’re NOT offering the credits this year.

Instead, you’ve got to be targeted.  But at least some folks will get the offer when earlier we thought no one would be getting it.

I’ll also share 3 more AMEX Offers that are open to everyone.

Sign-in to your AMEX account to see if you’ve received this offer.  This seems to be very targeted so not everyone will see it in their account.

If you’re new to AMEX Offers, check out my post on how to add these to your account.  You might even get the offer on several cards!

If You Receive the Offer, Add It to Your Account Right Away Because Enrollment Is Limited

To earn the $10 statement credit, use your synced AMEX card to shop at a small business by November 28, 2015.  Here’s a map of participating merchants.

This is an easy $10!  And a great way to support your local shops, restaurants, and other businesses.

While I’m disappointed that AMEX won’t offer statement credits for shopping on Small Business Saturday this year, this is a nice deal for folks who can get it!

Save on Electronics, Luggage, and Baby Supplies

Everyone is eligible for these 3 returning AMEX Offers by checking your online American Express account or tweeting the promotion code on your connected Twitter account.

  • $20 Off $199+ at Best Buy by December 31, 2015, #AmexBestBuy  Here are the terms.
  • $30 Off $150+ at Samsonite by December 31, 2015, #AmexSamsonite  Full terms.
  • $10 Off $50+ at Diapers.com by December 31, 2015, #AmexDiapers  Here are the conditions.

Bottom Line

Some folks are receiving an AMEX Offer to earn a $10 statement credit when they spend $10 or more at a participating small business by November 28, 2015.

And everyone with an eligible AMEX card can get discounts at Best Buy, Samsonite, and Diapers.com.  Here’s how to add AMEX Offers to your cards.

While this Small Business credit isn’t as good as the statement credits AMEX has offered on Small Business Saturday (not offered this year), it’s a nice bonus for folks who are targeted.

I didn’t receive the $10 small business offer on any of my cards.  Please let me know if you did!

  1. Not as good as last year, since I got to register all of my cards then, but I did get the $10 credit offer for my personal SPG. I also got $20 off $100 for small business purchases on my SPG biz card.

  2. Targeted on 1/9 cards. Amex Blue Cash

  3. There are also targeted Small Business Saturday offers for $20 on $100 in purchases.

  4. Targeted on 1/2 cards – Hilton AMEX. Husband went 0/2 🙁

  5. I received offer on SPG Bus card – Spend $100 or more, get $20 back

I’m thinking restaurant gift card …

  6. @Chad @Tom Ainsworth @FEV7 – Terrific! $20 off $100 is a sweet deal, too!

@Erica @Betty – Glad to hear you received the offer on some of your cards. Happy shopping!

  7. Even if targeted for $10 or $20 after $100, only ONE card per account is eligible to receive the offer. Previous years all secondary cards in the same account were eligible. This is just another aspect that this year’s offer is worse. Oh well, better than nothing.

  8. All I am seeing is “Picked Just For You: We’re recommending spots nearby based on your spending history. Check them out on the Shop Small Map.” And it takes me to the map (like last year) where it shows the small businesses near me, but no way of signing up for the offer. 🙁

  9. Got on two cards.

  10. Targeted on 2/5 – one was old Amex husband rarely uses except for occasional Amex Offers.

  11. Also worth noting – once you add a targeted Small Business offer they can INSTANTLY be redeemed – no need to wait for SBS to earn that offer … this is a welcome change from prior years!
