  1. Unfortunately the Radisson in Aruba sold a month ago and rebranded as Hilton.

  2. Per your photo captions: “Take Your Free Night Certificate to the Radisson Aruba Resort for a Mini-Getaway This Winter!”… this is a Hilton NOW. I agree it would have been a fine redemption otherwise. I did not receive this cert and held onto my card, wonder if I should call and ask about it.

  3. It is now called the Hilton Aruba.

  4. I received an envelope from US Bank last week and assumed it was junk mail and shredded it. I think I probably missed out on my free night — has anyone had any luck in having htem resend it?

  5. @Roy & @MikeH seems weird that Daraius blogged something about the Aruba when it became a Hilton not just recently, but a month ago! Being lazy or attention getter? Lol.

@Scott It’s just a letter, as mentioned, look for the certificate in your email, I know I will =)

FYI, Radisson Blu by Dublin airport – just weird. Seems they fix things just by adding the replacement. E.g. water heater cradle bad/old wired through the shelf, so a new/working yet yucky replacement is just added. Showerhead not working/old so they put a newer faucet with the hand-held attached and left the old showerhead in tact. Toilet pull was like a slot machine – had to pull it several times to work. If I had paid for the room, I would have asked for my money back, hehe.

  6. I didn’t get a notice via regular mail but I did get an e-mail certificate a few weeks ago. I assumed it was because I had spent over $10,000 on my card in the past year and that’s the new way to earn a free night.

  7. My wife got it.. I am waiting for mine…
It says actual certificate will arrive in e-mail.. This paper notice was just a heads-up…
Certificate is good for 12 months from issuance…

  8. Got mine this morning. Its just a letter giving everyone a heads up so if you threw it out you haven’t missed out. Cert will come via email. Saving mine for my trip to Eastern Europe next spring!

  9. Got US Mail letter yesterday. No email certificate yet.

Only reason I kept the credit card was in case I get any benefit from being gold on all the award stays I booked before the devaluation.

  10. My wife and I got it.
For me this card is on the way out… Not sure if I will be able to use those Free Night Certificates. 🙁

Radisson Aruba was a major selling point for my family to get the card in the first place. We staid there last spring break for 7 days in 2 rooms using awards.
Now, I am using-up remainder of my and my wife points for 6 nights (booked before the devaluation) in Germany for our BMW European Delivery trip in October.

It maybe time to apply for CITI® HILTON HHONORS cards… (Visa Signature® Card with 75K Bonus Points / Silver status and Reserve Card with two weekend night certificates / Gold status)

  11. Check you Club Carlson account the free e cert is posted to my account

  12. Hello, I just checked with Club Carlson and US Bank. They will give out a free 1 night certificate after spending $10,000 in one year. I hope this helps !

  13. I just got the free night certificate emailed to me!
What’s the best Carlson hotel in the world? 🙂

  14. Smirky is right, mine is now showing in my account online.

  15. My buddy got his emailed. I haven’t received an email and none is posted to my account. Eeeeeek!

  16. My husband and I just rec’d emails yesterday with the free night offers.

  17. For those of you getting the free night cert, did you spend the 10k on your account in the past year? I signed up in March and spent a few thousand on it, but didn’t spend over 10k….

  18. @Casey.
I only spent $2k on my card, and still received the free night cert.

  19. 4x accounts. 1x free night cert. On the card with the lowest spend? For loyalty recovery this certainly seems poorly thought through… but I’ll take the free night 😀

  20. So I got the e-Cert. I’ve tried to find a participating hotel, to no avail. I’ve looked in multiple cities and in off-peak times. I am hoping this freebie isn’t all flash and no sizzle. If anyone comes across a list of participating hotels, please advise. I called Carlson and was told phone support can’t book or assist e-Cert transactions.

  21. I can’t find any availability using e-cert… What is this?

  22. I finally got around to calling on Friday. They called me back as promised today and gave me a free night for both business and personal card. Not bad for less than 5 minutes on the phone !

  23. Journey there is a promo code you need to use with the cert. I can’t remember it but I know it’s posted on flyertalk.
