American Airlines Flights to Europe

American Airlines has many routes on sale.

You can fly to Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Rome, and Zurich for ~$650 round-trip in coach.  Depart from several cities, including:

  • Austin
  • Baltimore
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Fort Lauderdale
  • Los Angeles
  • Milwaukee
  • Nashville
  • Seattle
  • Tucson
  • Washington, DC
  • And many more!

If you don’t see your city listed, it’s worth checking prices!

There are some cities that are NOT included in this sale:

  • Dallas
  • Miami
  • New York
  • Philadelphia
  • Phoenix
  • San Francisco

Fares are around ~$650, but vary based on the route.  I was able to find flights from Los Angeles to Rome for ~$655 round-trip in coach!

If you pay for these flights with the Citi Executive AAdvantage MasterCard, you’ll earn 2X American Airlines miles per $1 spent on American Airlines.

Remember, folks with the Citi Prestige can use Citi ThankYou points to purchase tickets at a rate of 1.6 cents per point on American Airlines.  So check the Citi ThankYou travel portal for these fares!

Delta Flights to Helsinki, Finland, and Spain

The Flight Deal reports cheap fares on Delta to Helsinki, Finland, and to several cities in Spain.

You can fly from many of the same cities listed above.  But the Delta fares are limited to specific destinations.  You can fly to:

  • Helsinki, Finland
  • Barcelona, Spain
  • Bilbao, Spain
  • Madrid, Spain
  • Malaga, Spain

If you’re interested in visiting Finland or Spain, it’s worth checking prices from your airport!

Note:  This fare does NOT seem to be available in Delta or United Airlines hub cities.

I was able to find round-trip flights from Seattle to Madrid for ~$618 round-trip!  That’s a great deal, especially from the West Coast!

What If You’re Not in 1 of These Cities?

Southwest – If you need more Southwest points, Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to Southwest.  Plus, if you have the Southwest Companion Pass, a friend can fly with you for (almost) free!

British Airways – If you’re a short flight away from an included city, you can save miles by using British Airways Avios points to book an award flight on American Airlines.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points , American Express Membership Rewards points, and Starwood Preferred Guest points transfer to British Airways.
