This deal is good for travel from August 31, 2015, to October 22, 2015, Mondays through Thursdays only.

One response to “$39 1-Way Flights on Frontier Airlines to Florida Cities, Las Vegas, & More

  1. Hi Daraius. Nice post, but way, way too rosey. Yes, you did hint at the problems near the end of flying with Frontier — they’re moving increasingly towards the Spirit Airlines model of over-charging its flying schmucks for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING.

It’s miserable as …. trying to figure out the new discount den. Why? Cuz the terms and conditions they refer you too mindlessly leave out essential details…. Phone reps were telling me last week I could buy the $49 “the works” upgrade for discount den fares….. like the old classic plus fares (which quietly disappeared last week)…..

but you won’t find that out until AFTER you join discount den, THEN try to get a “the works” upgrade — to pay for your luggage, get better seat, etc. Nope, not gonna do it, won’t let ya. You’re stuck with a $49 “discount den” membership that gets you only one thing — discounted seats (roughly equal to the previous best deals, from what I’ve seen so far)…. and these will be the most miserable, fee laden seats on the plane.

Did you pay for that air you’re breathing?

I’m sitting on 45 K in Frontier Airlines miles…. I had been hoping to use them as companion pass fares, before that promo runs out. what, even you Daraius didn’t know about that? Nope, you won’t find out about it on the frontier airlines web site….. you will find out about it via the frontier credit card web site — if you hunt hard for it. (for the curious, be careful with the expiration dates — I’ve tried calling 3 different reps to find out if this refers to the last date the companion passes will be good , or if this is the last day you can make reservations with the promotion.)

    I’ve gotten three/four different answers from 3 calls….

and as per usual amind the Frontier web site chaos, you won’t find any answers there

Am I bitter about Frontier? You betcha. They once were an airline that catered to smaller markets — like Shenandoah, Wilmington, Williamsburg…..

Nope, not any more. They’ve now got “spirit” — and it shows. Anticipating a merger next year, of the two most miserable airlines going.
