  1. I just got the IHG card in June (Chase). Do they tend to approve even if you’ve received a card within 2 months? I’m thinking maybe bc it’s a partner company, not like their own Ink, Freedom, etc.

  2. Be wary of applying for Chase cards, it appears they are putting a lot more focus on credit pulls not just for UR cards but also co-branded now. Had to answer a number of questions on why I opened Citi credit cards and had my application pushed to a Sr. Analyst.

  3. Here’s a couple tips on 1 and 4:

    1. If you bank with Chase, go into a branch and ask if you have any pre approvals on your account. I always have a pre approval for the United card, even though it doesn’t show up on the pre approval tool on their website. The offer is always 50K on my account.

    4. I have never been able to get the referral option to show up directly on the Amex website for my SPG business, but you can do it. Sign in to SPG first, select the referral option and it will take you to the Amex website to log in. You’ll then be able to choose between the personal and business versions for sending referrals.

  4. Any other cards give referral bonus?
    Thanks!

  5. I had been looking for an airline credit card either the united explorer or the american airlines advantage. Luckily I got the (targeted) 50000 offer for the mileage plus today so I applied and got approved. It’s my 3rd chase credit card but everything went smoothly.
Just FYI the link is UnitedExplorerCard.com/B84 and it expires October 31, 2015.
