If you’re an American Express cardholder and have an online AMEX account, you can use AMEX Express Checkout. You do NOT need to complete additional steps to sign-up.
To pay with AMEX Express Checkout, click the AMEX Express Checkout option on the payment screen at participating merchants.
Currently, you can use AMEX Express Checkout at:
- Burberry (US site)
- Laithwaites Wine
- Virgin Wines
- Warby Parker
- Wall Street Journal
- WSJ Wine
And until September 7, 2015, you’ll earn a 1-time $10 statement credit when you use AMEX Express Checkout to pay at any of these merchants.
You’ll only earn the statement credit ONCE per American Express online account, per merchant. So it looks like you can earn $10 once per store until the deadline!
AMEX Express Checkout Is Easy to Use!
On the payment screen, I clicked on the AMEX Express Checkout icon. A new window opened up prompting me for my American Express log-in and password.
You’ll see a list of card accounts associated with your User ID. Choose the card you want to use.
If it’s your 1st time using AMEX Express Checkout, you’ll be asked to check your email for a 1-time verification code. Once you’ve received it and entered it, you can continue with your purchase.
What I like about AMEX Express Checkout is that it auto-fills the billing and shipping details for you. It’s a great time-saver.
AMEX says you’ll receive your $10 statement credit within 90 days of September 7, 2015. The deal is only valid ONCE per online merchant, per AMEX account.
But there’s no minimum to spend, so if you find an item for $10 (or less) you could get it for free! 🙂
Remember, AMEX cardholders qualify for other great discounts, like:
ShopRunner – Get free membership in ShopRunner by having an AMEX card. You’ll get free shipping and discounts from dozens of online merchants.
AMEX OPEN – (business cards only) – Automatically earn discounts when you use your AMEX business card at participating merchants, like FedEx and Hertz.
Small Business Saturday – Hopefully they bring Small Business Saturday back this year. You can earn statement credits for each AMEX card you hold.
AMEX Express Checkout is a new service that allows you to pay quickly and securely at participating online merchants.
If you have an AMEX online account, you can use AMEX Express Checkout. And until September 7, 2015, you’ll earn a $10 statement credit (once per merchant, per AMEX User ID) at select online retailers.
I like AMEX Express Checkout because you don’t have to fill in your card or shipping details. And a free $10 credit for shopping at participating stores is a great deal!
