Thanks for being the best blog readers!  This week we’re giving away 10,000 IHG points.

Blog Giveaway 10,000 IHG Points

If You Win, You Could Use Your IHG Points Towards a Stay at the Intercontinental Bali!

IHG hotels include Candlewood Suites, Crowne PlazaHoliday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hotel Indigo, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, and Staybridge Suites brand hotels.

I like IHG hotels because they have plenty of affordable hotels.  And each quarter IHG releases a new list of PointBreaks hotels that only cost 5,000 point per night, which is an amazing bargain (if you can find a hotel that fits into your travel plans)!

Even if you don’t win, you can get IHG points with the Chase IHG Rewards card.

You can also earn IHG points with Chase Ultimate Rewards credit cards such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Ink Bold, and Chase Ink Plus cards.  That’s because Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer to IHG at a 1:1 ratio.  But this is only a good use of your points if you’re booking a PointBreaks hotel.

Otherwise, you get a better value if you use the cash & points trick.  I prefer transferring my Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt.

Fine Print:  The largest value of this giveaway is $185.  I make the final decision for this contest and there’s no appeal.  I’m not getting anything from IHG and I’m giving away IHG points, so don’t make this difficult for me!

  1. Hyatt because they have the best hotels.

  2. I’ve only ever transfered UR to UA so I guess that is my favorite!

  3. Theresa Claveria

Southwest Airlines of course!! They have great deals on airfare and free bags. For the customer service they provide, there is no better deal out there.

  4. Stayed once before but can’t wait to transfer UR points for Park Hyatt Vendome in the near future.

  5. United is my favorite Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner because I’m part of their MileagePlus program and I value their points to earn toward free flights. Thanks!

  6. Charlie Weeks

I like to transfer to Southwest Airlines. Love their availability and service!

  7. Susan Hoffman

Hyatt:: They have nice hotels in a lot of big cities and I can buy discount Hyatt cards for the times I don’t have enough points

  8. Jordan Kaplowitz

My favorite points transfer is to Korean Airlines because I love traveling to Asia and Korean Airlines can get me to Asia for a good amount of points 🙂

  9. Shawn Bramich

Hyatt because it simply offers the best rewards value of any partner

  10. I usually just go for the cash (then I can buy what I want), but transferring UR points to SW will be very useful since we fly SW (usually free or very cheap-thanks to your tips) to Orlando.

  11. My favorite transfer partner has been Amtrak so far. Amtrak points are difficult to accrue and if traveling in more than 1 zone quite costly in points.

  12. I will have to say Hyatt but I have used Ultimate Rewards travel website more for places where the points were high.

  13. Daraius – my favorite is Hyatt, because you can stay at their Andaz property in Costa Rica for only 15,000 points a night. It’s an amazing property and the staff is top notch.

  14. Hannah Willette

My family of four loves staying at all the Hyatt Hotels. We really want to try the Hyatt Lodge on McDonald’s Campus outside of Chicago.

  15. I like United for the chance for flying LH across the Atlantic!

  16. I love transferring UR points to United Airlines to top off for saver awards when I’m short some miles!

  17. I transfer UR points to United Airlines because I live very close to Newark, one of its hubs.

  18. My favorite UR points transfer would be either to Southwest for domestic flight or United Airlines for flight to South Korea using Korean Airline plane.

  19. Hyatt Paris!

  20. Hyatt is my favorite.

  21. I use UR points mostly for United because they have great nonstops ORD-SFO.

  22. My favorite Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner is Hyatt. New POINTS + CASH option allows for amazing deals.

  23. Hyatt. Lookimg forward to many more free stays in the future.

  24. Carolina A.

My favorites are Hyatt and British Airways. I have gotten great deals with both. Gotta love Ultimate Rewards!

  25. I don’t have UR points but hope to rectify that soon. The IHG points would come in real handy for an upcoming summer trip.

  26. Southwest offers the best value in conjunction with my companion pass.

  27. I would like best to transfer UR points to United Airline which is a good flight back to Asian countries.

  28. British Airways Avios are flexible and excellent for short flights on American and US Airways.

  29. Love Hyatt as a transfer partner! The hotels and customer service are second to none.

  30. Southwest for sure.

  31. I’d say United and Hyatt are the best transfer partners with Chase Ultimate Rewards. Their points have an amazing value for the possible redemption opportunities

  32. Definitely Southwest. Anything that gets me closer to where my kids live!!!

  33. Holiday inn has some great deals for me.

  34. My favorite is IHG, because it is Daraius’s favorite.

  35. Amtrak is my favorite Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner. I’ve take the family in first class sleeper compartments on the long distance train Empire Builder to Seattle. It is an awesome experience going through Glacier National Park!

  36. Southwest – in combination with the companion pass, it allows my wife and I to fly for free!

  37. My favorite and most used transfer partner is Southwest!!!

  38. Definitely United on a regular basis. For special occasions? Hard to beat Suites on Singapore!

  39. Transferring to United recently helped me take my nearly-spouse to see his home in Rota, Spain for the first time since 1976. It was wonderful and emotional and the reason I love miles & points.

  40. Southwest offers the best value.

  41. southwest is currently my favorite transfer partner for the reason the Chase points transfer instantly and I can fly my daughter home when she needs a break from her busy life. My hotel transfer partner would be Hyatt as they have my favorite property in Huntington Beach for me to stay and kick back. Hope I can get the points to plan my next vacation

  42. I like InterContinental hotels. It’s one of my top choices when I’m booking a hotel stay.

  43. I like British Airways to use on Aer Lingus! Planning a trip to Ireland!!

  44. Hyatt because I also carry their credit and I’m loyal to their brand.

  45. Hyatt – because I’m a Hyatt Diamond & I get extra perks when redeeming /staying at Hyatt hotels!

  46. We used our Ultimate Rewards to transfer to SW Rapid Rewards for 4 tickets to NYC for New Year’s Eve 2013. We got to see the ball drop in Times Square! We got voluntarily bumped on our Atlanta Connection, and were given 4 $300m vouchers. We used those vouchers for my husband to visit his brother in Jacksonville, FL and for my daughter and myself to spend 5 days in San Francisco. Our 50,000 point bonus paid for all of this and we still have about half of those points left!

  47. United because it and its Star Alliance partners fly where I want to go! Right now I’m in Portugal – got here on UA miles via TAP!

  48. Amtrak! Best value when you can get a train to DC or Boston from NYC for only 4,000 points last minute when it can cost $120 or more!

  49. I like transferring chase ultimate rewards points to United. I have received miles through card signup from Freedom, sapphire preferred, chase sapphire and referrals. It has helped me frequently visit India when combining these points with Chase United explorer credit card.

  50. British Airways! I’ve been able to travel to NYC from DC so much!

  51. Delta usually offers the best value for me because MSP is a Delta hub and they are the only airline, that I am aware of, that flies directly to Cabo San Lucas. In November, I got a direct flight to Phoenix for 17K Delta miles! I find the best values by booking with Ultimate Rewards rather than transferring points.

  52. United…for now!

  53. I like transferring points to British Airways because of the value I get with short haul destinations.

  54. favorite partner is United.

  55. Hyatt because of the high class properties at relatively low points prices.

  56. Hyatt. I like to do road trips & it’s nice to have a good hotel to stay in along the journey! 🙂

  57. United Airlines, because the Star Alliance usually gets me to where I want to go.

  58. Michael M MA

I like to transfer points to British Airways for Aer Lingus flights from Boston to Dublin. In Dublin I see my nephew’s two year old incredibly charming daughter Ms. Abby.

  59. Chase Ultimate Rewards + United = My latest FREE trip to Hawaii!!

  60. Still working on my first big trip using miles and points and just finished applying for the IHG card. Sure would be nice to get a running start 🙂

  61. I like UR xfer to UA for Hawaii vacations

  62. Ritz Carlton – because I’m fancier than a kitten in a top hat!!

  63. I think Korean has some very appealing redemption value.

  64. Fav xfer partner for UR is Hyatt.

  65. United, because I’m planning to use the open jaw/free one way option to take my partner on his first trip abroad next year!

  66. One of my favorite UR partners is Amtrak. You can get amazing value at 2.5 to 5 cents per point with them. $1000 and up family bedroom sleeping cars are 40k. It works great for my family of five, and kids love trains. I can get all five in my family to east or west coast for 20k-40k points. Short haul trips for 1500 pts also help us sometimes save points or cash by flying out of KC or CHI instead of our home airport in STL. If you are low on UR points consider Amtrak one way, especially if you are 4 or more.

  67. We just used Chase via AA to get to Spain this summer!

  68. United. So that I can get free flights.

  69. United. I’m earning miles to fly to Borneo. I’m new to the points game and so haven’t tried out hotel points yet, but I sure like the idea of free hotel stays!

  70. As much as I dislike the United flying experience, it is my favorite transfer partner of Chase since we are able to fly our familys’ out to see us pretty easily.

  71. Marriott is my favorite because we belong to their rewards program and I always enjoy staying at their hotels.

  72. MIchael Hess

My favorite is Hyatt! Pick me!!! 😛

  73. United Airlines because of the Star Alliance.

  74. United for booking international flights.

  75. Have to say British Airways….

  76. Southwest, 100% .
Can’t wait to try out SNA to MEX if I win !

  77. United airlines is my favorite.

  78. Southwest, because you can sometimes change flights without penalty.

  79. British airways because living in NY which is a state bordering Canada but can still take 10+ hours to drive will only cost 4.5k avios each way instead of $250+ dollars for the only one hour flight.

  80. United for sure since it is easier than other Chase travel partners to redeem flights with miles.

  81. Whew. Just made it1! United :free flights.

  82. I like transferring points to British Airways because of the value I get with short haul destinations.

  83. United! Helping me get all the way from Sydney to Orlando!

  84. Southwest, too many places to go domestically

  85. Just got my first Chase card and haven’t yet made a transfer so I guess I’ll have to let you know!
