Emily and I have had great experiences at Hyatt hotels such as the Grand Hyatt Kauai, Grand Hyatt Macau, Hyatt Regency Maui, and Park Hyatt Vendome Paris.

Hyatt is 1 of my favorite hotel chains because they have fantastic locations and there are lots of ways to earn Hyatt points.  Including transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points that you earn with cards like the Chase Ink Bold (no longer available), Chase Ink Plus, and Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Chase Adds New Transfer Partner More Options To Europe

You Can Also Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points Earned With Cards Like the Chase Freedom to Hyatt, But First You’ll Have to Transfer Them to Cards Such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred

And you can take the Hyatt Diamond Challenge to earn perks like 4 suite upgrades, lounge access (free breakfast), and late check-out when you stay 12 nights in 60 days.

Bottom Line

You’ll get 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel with the Chase Hyatt card when you complete the minimum spending.  Plus, a $50 statement credit after your 1st purchase and 5,000 Hyatt points when you add an authorized user who makes a purchase in the 1st 3 months of account opening!

That’s a fantastic value!

  1. My husband and I were just approved for this card in early May. Our offer was for the 2 free nights. Since we just got these cards would we be able to get the $50 credit and the additional 5000 pts like the new offer? Thanks for any help you can give!

  2. @sally. Send chase a PM. They are usually really good about matching better offers. I haven’t had an issues in doing that.

  3. This sounds like a great deal. I haven’t been sure which hotel card would be best to get. (I am new to the credit card reward game other than having an Alaska Airlines card for several years.) Is it possible to have more than one Chase card? Can I apply for both a Chase Sapphire and a Chase Hyatt? (My credit score is 821 according to CreditKarma.) Thank you!

  4. @Julia – I have 5-6 Chase cards currently open! Typically you want to limit your Chase applications to 1 in a 90 day period (or 1 personal and 1 business). The Hyatt card is one of my favorite hotel cards and used my free nights at the Park Hyattt-Vendome in Paris. It’s also a great card to keep year-after-year. This year I plan to use my annual free night certificate at the Park Hyatt Toronto! You can’t beat the service and quality of a Park Hyatt!

  5. Can someone tell me approximately how long it takes to receive the free night certificate after meeting the $1000 spending requirement?
    Thanks!

  6. Hey Dariaus,

What Chase card could I get that earns Ultimate Rewards that I can transfer to hotel and airline partners. I would prefer a Personal option versus a Business option (card).

    Thanks in advance,
    Tobias

  7. Well my husband and I were just approved for this card late April. I inboxed them and asked if they would honor the deal. It is a no go on the statement credit but looks like once I add the authorized user I email them back. Here is the content of their response. I will be honest I may call and ask again about the credit. By the way I deleted the customer service name but can tell you the content and wording was the same for both emails I sent from different accounts. Even when I sent my request I tried to make them sound different. I was surprised at the canned email

Thank you for contacting Chase about the new enrollment
bonus offer and your Hyatt account.

Here is the offer that is on your account:
? $50 Statement Credit with the first purchase. It will
automatically post to your account 6-8 weeks after your
    first purchase is made.
? Two Free Night Stay award e-certificates if you spend
$1,000 or more in the first three months of the account
open. Once the spending requirement has been met in the
allotted timeframe, the awards will post to your Hyatt
Gold Passport account within seven to 10 days.
? Purchases do not include; balance transfers, cash
advances and cash-like charges such as traveler?s checks,
foreign currency, money orders, checks that access your
account, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or
fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including an
    annual fee if applicable.

I understand you are requesting the following additional
    enrollment bonuses:
? 5,000 bonus points for adding your first authorized user
and making a purchase within three months of opening your
    account.
? Please contact us once you have met the authorized user
offer terms and we will gladly add the points at that
    time.
? $50.00 statement credit is for customers who either made
a reservation online with Hyatt or stayed at Hyatt and
received a take-one or guest receipt at the property, and
then opened the Hyatt Credit Card account from Chase. If
you have met either of these criteria for the $50
Statement Credit bonus, please provide us with the
reservation confirmation number to confirm the booking.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
    Secure Message Center.

    Thank you,

    Customer Service Specialist

  8. After rereading it looks as though I did originally have the 50 statement credit offer but I have not gotten yet. It says my husbands original offer did not include that same credit but I used the same link. More investigating on the way.

  9. My wife and I got this card a couple years ago, and cancelled the card in May 2014. If we re-apply, do you think we can still get the signup bonus, or is it only allowed once in a lifetime?

  10. Christine, thank you for that correspondence. I sent a message yesterday asking about the same thing. I have already received my award nights and statement credit. Hoping I can also add the authorized user for the extra points.

  11. Can both husband and wife each get their own card (and add the other as a signer)?

And if so, do they need two Hyatt accounts, or can the bonuses go into a single shared account?

Trying to figure out the ins and outs of the credit card offer game.

  12. @Dan – You should be able to add your spouse as an authorized user. Many married couples have done it. You need to have separate accounts, but transferring points is free. All you need to do is submit the Point Combining Request Form. I transferred 40k points easily from family account to mine so I could book a Park Hyatt.

  13. I have basic question, with HGP you get 5 points per dollar on paid stays and with Hyatt credit card you get 3 points per dollar spent on Hyatt, does that mean if I use my hyatt credit card to book paid stays at Hyatt, I would get 8 points?

  14. @shadowfax – Yes, but with the Chase Hyatt card you have Platinum membership, which gives you a 15% bonus on points earned. So you’re actually earning 5x and then 15% of that as an extra bonus with your status through the HGP program. Then the Hyatt card will add 3x each dollar spent.

  15. This site mentions that the $50 dollar statement credit can be made with purchase of any charge and anywhere. Is this true? Based on Christine’s reply, it seems that it is only valid with purchase at Hyatt only.

  16. I want to take advantage of this offer but don’t need the two free and most valuable nights within a year from today. Do you think those certificates would be issued at card approval or after I satisfy the spend?

  17. I got the same feedback as Christine. However, I opened my card first, asked and got the $50 credit. When my husband asked for the credit, he got that response. I asked if we had to make purchases on the authorized user card and was told no. Now, according to this, it says you have to in order to get the 5k bonus. I was wondering why that bonus hadn’t shown up and called them this week to ask. They said nothing about the authorized user having to use the card. Thanks for this info. I just sent another message to Hyatt asking for the $50 credit for my husband. We’ll see if we get it. I bet we don’t. We do have an upcoming reservation so maybe that will make a difference?

  18. Are there any blackout date or availability restrictions on the free 2 nights? Planning to use it either at Hyatt London Churchill or Paris Vendome this September. Right now, the two hotels are not available for straight-up points so I wonder if the two-night certificates can do the trick?
