You’ll earn $500 back after you spend $4,500 on purchases with the Capital One Spark Cash for Business in the first 3 months of opening your account.

And 50,000 Capital One Spark Miles (worth $500 in travel) with the Capital One Spark Miles for Business card after meeting the same minimum spending requirement.

But the sign-up bonuses have been increased to $500 for the Spark Cash card.  And 50,000 Capital One Spark miles (worth $500 in travel) with the Spark Miles card.  Those are good sign-up bonuses!

The annual fee of $95 on both cards is waived for the first year.  Neither card adds foreign transaction fees.

These Are Good Cards for Travel Abroad Because They Don’t Add Foreign Transaction Fees

With the Capital One Spark Cash for Business, you’ll earn unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases.

And the Capital One Spark Miles for Business gets you 2 Capital One Spark miles per $1 you spend everywhere.  Capital One Spark miles are worth 1 cent each when redeemed for air travel.  So it’s like getting 2% back.

There aren’t blackout dates, and you’ll earn miles on your ticket.  So this is a good deal for folks who book paid airfare, especially last minute or at busy times.

I do NOT normally recommend Capital One cards, because they pull all 3 main credit bureaus when they process your application (instead of 1 like most banks).

So the effect on your credit report is like applying for THREE credit cards instead of ONE.

Many Folks Avoid Applying for Capital One Cards Because They Pull All THREE Credit Bureaus

But these are good sign-up bonuses!  So some folks might consider them, especially if they already have lots of cards from other banks.

Or if they haven’t applied for a lot of cards lately, so they don’t mind the 3 inquiries on their credit report.

That said, there are other cards that earn a similar cash back rate, including the Fidelity Investment Rewards American Express or Citi DoubleCash.

And business cards like the American Express SimplyCash, Chase Ink Cash, or Chase Ink Plus might be a better choice for folks who don’t want 3 inquiries on their credit report!

Remember, these are business cards.  Many folks don’t realize they’re eligible to apply because they don’t think they have a business, or their business is too new.  Read my post about how you might qualify for business cards!

Bottom Line

The sign-up bonuses on the Capital One Spark Cash for Business and Capital One Spark Miles for Business cards have been increased to $500 (or 50,000 miles, worth $500 in travel) after completing minimum spending requirements.

These are great sign-up bonuses!  But they’re not for everyone.

That’s because Capital One pulls your credit report from all THREE credit bureaus when you apply!  Normally, banks only look at ONE.

But if you already have a lot of cards from other banks, or don’t mind 3 credit pulls for 1 card, this could be a good deal for you.

I’d love to hear your experiences with Capital One cards!
