You Can Now Stay at Even the Most Expensive Wyndham Hotels for Just 15,000 Points per Night!

Even though Wyndham says you’ll be able to book any hotel where there’s a standard room available, the best Wyndham hotels might sell out quickly!  So you may not want to wait until the last minute to book award nights!

Find out how you can make the most out of this change to the Wyndham rewards program!

You can now stay at any Wyndham hotel for just 15,000 points per night.  Wyndham hotels include:

This is an excellent deal if you use your Wyndham points for free nights at expensive hotels like the Wyndham Garden Manhattan Chelsea West.

Use Wyndham Points in Pricey Cities Like New York to Get the Best Deals

Or if you’re looking for a different kind of view, you could stay at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach in Puerto Rico.

You Can Stay Here for 15,000 Wyndham Points per Night, Too!

However, this isn’t a good deal for stays in less expensive Wyndham hotels.  In fact, many hotels are going up in price compared to the old award chart.

While Top-Tier Hotels Are Now an Excellent Deal, Wyndham’s Budget Hotels Are Now More Expensive!

Because most folks will use their Wyndham points to book top hotels, you can expect standard rooms to fill up quickly.  So don’t wait until the last minute to book an award stay!

In addition to booking stays for just 15,000 points, there are 2 other changes to Wyndham’s reward program.  You can now book with cash & points, and you’ll earn at least 1,000 Wyndham points per night during paid stays.

Don’t Have Wyndham Points?

You can easily earn 3 nights at any Wyndham hotel with the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards premium card.  Sign-up for the card and you’ll get 30,000 Wyndham points when you complete your 1st purchase.  And an additional 15,000 Wyndham points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the 1st 90 days of opening your account.

Other benefits that come with this card include:

  • 5 points per $1 spent at Wyndham hotels
  • 2 points per $1 spent everywhere else
  • 15,000 points on your card anniversary each year (worth another free night at any Wyndham hotel!)

The $69 annual fee is NOT waived.

Or sign-up for the NO annual fee version of the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards card and earn 15,000 points after your 1st purchase, and another 15,000 points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the 1st 90 days of opening your account.

With this card you get:

  • 3 points per $1 you spend at Wyndham hotels
  • 2 points per $1 you spend on everything else
  • No annual fee

Note:   Both cards charge a 3% foreign transaction fee.  So I wouldn’t use these cards overseas.

Emily and I don’t earn a commission on these cards, but we always tell you about the best deals!

Bottom Line

Starting today, Wyndham hotels cost just 15,000 points per night!  This is an amazing deal for their top-tier hotels!  And I expect the most expensive rooms to sell out quickly.  So make sure you book well in advance!

You can now also book rooms using cash & points and earn a minimum of 1,000 Wyndham points on paid stays.

You can earn Wyndham hotel points when you sign-up for 1 of the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards cards and complete the minimum spending requirements.

We don’t earn a commission on these cards, but we’ll always tell you about the best offers!

  1. These changes actually went live last Friday, 3 days earlier than announced. Still many good deals available for Wyndham’s top-tier properties. Cash + Points also seems to provide good value for some mid-tier and above properties.

  2. I have the old $69 annual fee card. Will they raise the retention bonus to 15,000 points for existing card holders?

  3. Do you know roughly how long the credit card will have the 45,000 bonus points offer before it drops back to 30,000?

  4. How is availability, particularly at the more desirable hotels? Maybe an idea for a post.

  5. Any reason to keep these cards beyond the first year or after using the points ??

  6. Any other programs that let you transfer points to Wyndham points?

Allow me. Clare and Julie…. You’ll just have to ask Barclay Card, as ymmv. Christian….nice try, but you’ll have to do the work yourself for specific hotels and dates. Jerry….the answer is in today’s post. Please read it. Juan….let me Google that for you.

    That was fun.

  8. Is it safe to say that the annual 15K points are yours to keep (up to 4 years from what I read in the terms before it’s forfeited)? So unlike other cards that give you a free night which expires within 6 months or a year, we can keep this for a few years and accumulate the free nights?

  9. HoustonRobert – Allow me. Not everyone has lived this lifestyle or has the spare time to read every blog ever written. Most of us are fans of Darius because he takes time to explain things, and doesn’t fault anyone for being a newbie. Thanks.
