When you receive your card, there are 2 steps you can quickly take to earn extra miles, points, and discounts on dining, shopping, and hotel stays!
I’ll explain how taking a few minutes now can get you points and savings later without even having to think about it!
What’s the Deal?

1. Register for Rewards Network Dining
Link: Rewards Network
Did you know you can register your credit cards to earn extra miles and points for dining out?
By adding your card to your favorite Rewards Network airline or hotel dining program, you’ll automatically earn bonus airline miles or hotel points when you eat at over ~10,000 participating restaurants, clubs, and bars.
You can choose from the following airline or hotel loyalty programs:
Note: You can only register your card with ONE dining program at a time.
However, folks who have the Chase Ink Cash card earn 2 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 they spend (2% cash back) at restaurants! So you can double-dip!
My favorite part of this deal is once you’ve registered your card, you don’t have to think about it again. And sometimes you get surprise miles and points when you’ve eaten at a restaurant you didn’t even know was on their list!
This is also a great way to keep your miles and points from expiring!
And folks who’ve applied for the improved sign-up bonuses on the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve, Citi Prestige, and Citi ThankYou Premier cards should remember to register these cards with Rewards Network too!
2. Sign-Up for Visa SavingsEdge
Link: Visa SavingsEdge
Because the Chase Ink Plus and Chase Ink Cash are Visa business cards, you can register them with Visa SavingsEdge to get automatic discounts at certain retailers, restaurants, car rental companies, and hotels.
The discounts are generally small (usually 1% to 5%), but they’ll show up as a statement credit when you make a purchase at a participating retailer once you’ve registered your card.
I always check evreward to find out which portals are offering the most cash back or points.
By paying with your Visa SavingsEdge registered card, you’d save a total of 7.5% on your Super 8 Hotel stay (5% from Visa SavingsEdge + 2.5% from Ebates).
And if you use your Chase Ink Plus card, you’ll earn 2 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 you spend, because you’re booking directly with a hotel!
By taking a few minutes to sign-up for these programs now, you can earn extra miles and points and get discounts at certain retailers in the future when you use your cards.
And once you’ve registered your card, you’ll get the extra miles & points and savings automatically! It’s always nice to earn a bonus or discount when you don’t expect it.
