  1. I really want to get this card but I have a question. I already have a Chase card with the British Airways Visa and was wanting to get the Chase Sapphire Preferred in June, so should go ahead and get this card first and then pick up the Sapphire Preferred in July/August or would that be too many inquiries to Chase in that time span?

  2. just used you link for me and my husband! thanks for all the info!

  3. @Adam – This is a good bonus, so applying for it now is a good idea. You can also send a secure message to Chase if they can match the 80k offer some people are getting, myself included from IHG website after booking. Also, I applied for a Chase card in June, Aug and Dec last year and all got approved. Your timing seems reasonable for the Sapphire Preferred.

  4. Thanks for the reminder.

I think I’ll get this card (still considering some other options).

  5. When do you do the secure message with Chase? After you applied? Once you receive the card? After you receive the 70k after the $1000 spend? Thanks

  6. @Jon – I sent a message for a different card after I applied and had the card in hand. I wouldn’t wait until you made the spend. They told me to let them know after I made spend and they would credit me the extra points. That was pretty easy. I appreciate Chase adds bonus points when a higher offer with same terms is available.
