Emily and I usually travel to larger cities with a Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, or Starwood hotel and stay with points. But some folks like to travel to towns without hotel chains. Or they want a cozy and romantic experience!
So they can use BedandBreakfast.com to find a place to stay.
BedandBreakfast.com is NOT for everyone. But it could work for you!
If you travel to towns without large hotels, BedandBreakfast.com can help you find accommodations at ~11,000 bed-and-breakfast locations worldwide.
You get free breakfast and some B&Bs offer free internet!
$50 Gift Card When You Buy a $200 Gift Card
To get the discount, you have to use promo code “SPRING50”.
You can get one $50 gift card per order. But, you are allowed 2 orders for each credit card in a 24-hour period. So you could use multiple credit cards, but each order has to include a single $200 gift card.
BedandBreakfast.com runs these types of promotions on often. So if you’re seeing this post after this promotion has expired, check for a new one! The time before this, they offered a $15 gift card offer with a $100 gift card purchase.
However, you have to wait 8 days after purchase to use it. So you should buy your gift cards at least 1 week in advance of when you plan on using them.
Gift cards never expire, but they can only be used at certain bed and breakfast locations in the US and Canada.
Using BedandBreakfast.com to Find Lodging
Let’s say you’re traveling to Sargent, Nebraska. You can use BedandBreakfast.com to find a place to sleep.
You’ll get a list of B&Bs in the area.
For Folks Who Want Something Different
For example, within driving distance of New York City is Woolverton Inn. There are peaceful views of the countryside at this very romantic bed and breakfast. Some rooms have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs for two.
Earn Points at Places Booked Through BedandBreakfast.com
The gift cards SHOULD also be coded as travel, but I haven’t tested this! So let me know your experience in the comments.
What I Don’t Like
There are some things I didn’t like about BedandBreakfast.com.
1. No Elite Stay Credit
Because B&Bs are independently owned you will NOT earn elite stay credit. But you get free breakfast which is why many folks value elite stay credit at hotels like Hyatt.
2. No Point Redemptions
How Does BedandBreakfast.com Compare to Airbnb?
With Airbnb you can sometimes find apartments, homes, or private rooms for rent in small towns. So if you can’t find a place using BedandBreakfast.com, try Airbnb.
For example, there weren’t any Airbnb listings for Sargent, Nebraska. But there were several near Stockton, New Jersey.
And for a limited time, you can get a $50 credit off a $200+ Airbnb stay.
You can use BedandBreakfast.com to find lodging in cities where there aren’t many hotels. Or when you’re seeking something different for a romantic or relaxed getaway.
And through March 11, 2015, you can get a $50 gift card when you buy a $200 gift card when you use promo code “SPRING50”.
But there are restrictions on using BedandBreakfast.com gift cards.
Do you have a favorite bed and breakfast?
