  1. “Note: Points earned from the Chase Freedom, Sapphire, and Ink Cash cards can only be transferred to travel partners if you also have a Chase Sapphire Preferred, Ink Plus, or Ink Bold card”
Please clarify this part for me, if I have a freedom, and sapphire preferred, and my spouse has a freedom card, can they still transfer fr. Points to my CSP acct,or do they ALSO need a CSP acct. of their own to do this?

  2. JM – I posed a similar question to Chase customer service recently. Specifically, I asked whether my spouse’s Freedom card can transfer to my Chase Sapphire Preferred. I was told yes by customer service. Hopefully they understood and answered accurately, but I haven’t yet tried it. Perhaps it requires their assistance to initiate the transfer.

  3. Yes you can transfer a spouse freedom to your preferred. I have been doing this for months. The set up is the same on the transfer

  4. My wife only has Freedom and I can confirm that I was able to transfer her points to my Ultimate rewards.

  5. Is there any reason to keep points in the freedom account until you want to use them with CSP? Or should we transfer regularly in case they change the rules in the future and prohibit transfer?

  6. For those asking about transferring (combining) to a spouse then just look at Daraius’ step #4. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen capture it says “Add spouse/domestic partner”. Once you add their account information it will then show up in the list as one of the “move to” partners.

  7. Daraius,
I have 2 freedom and 1 CSP cards and was always able to shift points between them. What is the new way here?

  8. RR,
It’s just a new system and a way to create a post with about 5 affiliate links in it.

  9. I made a transfer between accounts on Dec 31st, and I had to type my other credit card account as the recipient account for points. Today I went into UR accounts and noticed that the other accounts now show up on their own. So transferring is as easy as selecting and clicking. I think by “new way” Daraius is referring to that you no longer need to type in the other credit card number as the recipient of the points. This must be something Chase rolled out at the start of the new year.

  10. My CSP and Ink Plus are in separate Chase login accounts (one personal, one business). Is there any advantage to combining them in a single account? If so, how do I do it?

  11. @UAPhil
They can be combined on your business login. You will have to call customer service and handle this over the phone. There is a link online for adding a personal card to your profile on the business login, but it will not work. It will provide you with a phone number.

  12. Yes… but where did the link go to transfer points to travel partners (like United and Hyatt)???

  13. if I add user to my business account would the additional user be able to transfer their points in to my account? Not the same last name

  14. My girlfriend and I share the same address and also the same last name (common last name).
Can my girlfriend transfer her Ink Cash (not Plus) points into my Chase Sapphire Preferred account? Will they ask for a marriage license?
