Update:  This offer is now OVER!

Via Credit Card Watcher, Starbucks will email your coffee-loving friend a $10 bonus when you send them a Starbucks Card eGift of at least $10.  You have to use a Visa card to buy the Starbucks eGift card.

The promotion closes after 100,000 customers or December 12, 2014, whichever comes first.

10 Bonus When You Send 10 Starbucks Card
Give a $10 Starbucks Card eGift and Your Recipient Gets a $10 Bonus in Their Email

You have to use a Visa card.  And there are a few restrictions.

Link:   Send a Starbucks Card eGift

The 1st 100,000 people to buy and send a Starbucks Card eGift of at least $10 with their Visa card will see the recipient of their gift get an extra $10.

For example, current versions of the Chase Sapphire Preferred card are Visa cards.

The deal ends December 12, 2014, at the latest.

  • Starbucks is requiring you to be generous because you can NOT send yourself the gift!  Just make sure that the recipient and sender have different email addresses.
  • There is a limit of 1 bonus per person.
  • You will NOT see the bonus at check-out but you should see it on your email receipt.
Note: The fine print of the deal says you aren’t guaranteed to receive a bonus.

Bottom Line

You can double the size of your gift when you send someone a Starbucks Card eGift using your Visa card.  That’s because Starbucks will email your recipient a $10 bonus when you send at least $10.

This deal is limited to the 1st 100,000 customers or December 12, 2014, whichever is first.
