  1. I guess buying Amazon egift cards counts as well and is blocking me from using the promo code. I get the error code: The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

  2. To clarify, I bought Amazon egift cards several time in the past, so I am not eligible for this promo.

  3. I just wanted to clarify, when I purchase these gift cards, can I apply them to my own account along with the the $10 credit? You wrote there is a limit of one credit per customer…is that referring to the $10 or is that referring to the $15 gift cards? Thanks a bunch!

  4. oh, and in addition, can I be an invited member of Prime to use this offer? The promotional code is not working for me and I’m trying to see if its cause of the previous giftcard issue or a prime issue. I have used giftcards previously but I have never purchased.

  5. The key point to this is that it doesn’t apply to folks who have purchased Amazon gift cards in the past. I think more emphasis should be placed on this, and less emphasis be placed on what credit cards can be advertised.

  6. Does anyone have experience with Amazon local? I know when AP was around it wouldn’t get 5% with Freedom. Anyone able to report getting 5% with their freedom on Amazon local? Thanks!

  7. I have never bought Amazon gift cards DIRECTLY FROM AMAZON. However, I have bought Amazon Gift Cards at office supply stores. Do you know if that disqualifies me?

  8. @Sharon – I believe you still should be fine. Amazon shouldn’t know if GCs from office supply stores were purchased by you or as a gift for you.

  9. This is going to sound dumb, but I’m looking for a pre-paid card to be used by my niece on her trip for a college visit. I want to give her a card she can use for one night stay at a hotel and gas along the way. Do Amazon gift cards only work for things bought on Amazon? That’s what I’m thinking –
Thanks in advance for any help on this!

  10. I bought the cards, but how / where do I find the $10 Amazon credit? Nothing came in the package with the gift cards.

  11. Nevermind. I checked the link again and found out I was to have gotten an email…and I did but it went in my spam folder!
