Is your name Elizabeth Gallagher? Are you Canadian? And are you up for an adventure?
A 28-year-old man in Toronto is giving away a round-the-world ticket for this December. He’d originally booked the flights (a mistake fare) for himself and his girlfriend, Elizabeth Gallagher, earlier this year.
But then he and his girlfriend broke up. Rather than see the ticket go to waste (it’s next to impossible to change the name on it), he’s looking for a Canadian (perhaps you can convince him otherwise!) with the same name (Elizabeth Gallagher) to use the ticket!
His search, which he posted on Reddit 2 days ago, has now gone viral.
What’s in It for Elizabeth?

The man offering the ticket, Jordan Axani, booked these flights when the airlines accidentally published a very low mistake fare between the US, Europe, and Asia. These deals never tend to last long, but many folks got in on it!
Here’s the itinerary:
- December 21: New York to Milan
- December 28: Prague to Paris
- December 29: Paris to Bangkok
- January 7: Bangkok to New Delhi
- January 8: New Delhi to Toronto
He promises no strings attached, and doesn’t want his traveling companion to feel obligated to pay him back or even hang out with him in any way:
I am not looking for anything in return. I am not looking for companionship, romance, drugs, a trade, or to take selfies with you in front the Christmas Market in Prague. If you feel compelled to toss me a couple hundred bucks, great. Really the only thing I ask for is that you enjoy this trip and that it brings you happiness.
He also asks that Elizabeth “be sane, smart, and (hopefully) interesting,” and that she promise to pay it forward 1 day.
Embracing the spontaneity of life is more my thing, though, so if you want to travel together (and are not an axe murder) I’m likely game.
This idea really made my day!
