Update:   The Chase Ink Bold card is no longer available for new sign-ups.

I wrote earlier this month that the Chase Ink Bold business card is being discontinued.  There were conflicting reports of the last day to apply for the card, with some Chase reps saying November 16, 2014Others were unsure.

Although there haven’t been affiliate links (which earn bloggers a commission) for this card for weeks, you could still apply through Chase.  But it’s now NO LONGER AVAILABLE on the Chase website!

Is It Gone for Good?

Link:   Chase Ink Bold Being Discontinued

The Chase Ink Bold is 1 of my favorite business cards with a sign-up bonus of 50,000 points or more.  So I’m sad to see it go!

Chase has definitely said that the card is being phased out.  And I wrote that you might want to skip the Chase Ink Plus increased sign-up bonus offer (no longer available except in Chase branches) to get the Ink Bold, because I’m not sure if Chase will replace it with another card that has as good a sign-up bonus.

The Chase branches I’ve visited are NOT offering the Ink Bold card.

That said, sometimes there are other working links for cards that have been pulled from the main bank site.  If you know of a link for the Chase Ink Bold that still works, please share it!

Bottom Line

The Chase Ink Bold business card is no longer available on the Chase website.  We knew it was being phased out, but most Chase reps said it would be gone on November 16, 2014.  Now it appears to have been pulled earlier.

I suspect this card is gone for good.

Have you found any working links for the Chase Ink Bold?  Please let me know in the comments!

  1. In this case, the bloggers should have shut up. They led me to believe I had until mid-November.

Before the rumors even started I had saved 4 links that worked after the official Bold page was gone. Because of bloggers I thought I was safe with my original plan to apply in Nov. A few days later they were zapped too. Thanks for nothing bloggers.

  2. I planned a churn mid-nov as well. Oh well.

  3. @Nun: You obviously follow all the bloggers and benefit from all the “good” info you get from them. Perhaps you should be the one that “shuts up” and perhaps be thankful that they are trying to give you the most accurate info possible, which you obviously have benefited from so far. I too had been waiting till November, but oh well. This is a game and I’ve won a whole lot more than I’ve lost thanks to these “bloggers”.

  4. @Rob and the bloggers are just monetizing the info they read on flyertalk. I use the bloggers when I don’t have time to read FT but i damn well never use their links. they provide very little to community for what they take for themselves

  5. According to Chase, the Ink Bold card has been discontinued due to “confusion” by users about the spending limits, which changed from month-to-month. Most users never understood the difference between a Charge Card (like Ink Bold) and a Credit Card (like Ink +), and probably still don’t.

Maybe Darius can devote an article or even a short series explaining the difference?

  6. Thanks for your previous advise Darius, I skipped 70k offer and applied for Bold, this news although makes me feel satisfied with the decision

  7. @Nun the official page disappearing was not an indication that the end was nigh?
