Bottom Line

I don’t recommend transferring points, unless you are short on Starwood points for an award stay or if you’re planning an immediate transfer for an airline award ticket.

  1. I also got a bonus when transferring AmEx to Marriott this week!

  2. Greetings Daraius,

My valuation of MR is 1 cent per point ( based on travel I have priced via AMEX website w/ MR points ). I value SPG points from 4 to 5 cents per point ( based on stays over New Year’s Eve on the beaches of Florida and Mardi Gras in New Orleans ). Therefore, I was all too happy to transfer 100k MR for 50k SPG. Just my 2 cents. Or. 2.5 cents 😉

  3. I would put towards Disney tickets on our next family visit!

  4. Disney tickets? I am aware of quasi Disney property ( Swan and Fish ). Please share re: tickets. Thank you.
