Update:   The Chase Ink Plus 70,000 point offer is no longer available, but check Hot Deals for the latest offers!

This appears to be the last week to get the best sign-up bonus yet (70,000 points) when you sign-up for the Chase Ink Plus.  The Chase Refer-a-Friend website suggests that this offer will end on October 10, 2014.  However, the public offer doesn’t specify an end date, but does say that it is for a limited time!

Note: The Chase Ink Plus 70,000 point bonus offer has been extended to October 19, 2014.

This is 20,000 more points than the usual sign-up bonus for this card!

The Chase Ink Plus is 1 of my favorite cards.  You will earn 70,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points when you sign-up and spend $5,000 within 3 months.  Other perks include:

  • 5X points at office supply stores, cable, and telecom
  • 2X points on gas and hotels
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Points never expire

The $95 annual fee is NOT waived the 1st year.  If you already have the Chase Ink Plus, you could get 10,000 points for referring others to the card through the Chase Refer-a-Friend website.

The Chase Ink Plus is a business card, but you may qualify even if you don’t think you have a business!

  1. I got this card in May for my business. can I get this card again for a 2nd business I own and deposit the 70000 points in my account after I met the spending requirement

  2. Thanks for reminding us repeatedly about this offer! I keep forgetting to sign up but your posts every single day about it remind me!! Thanks!!!!!!!

  3. hi,

    i have a question, i have a employee card for the ink plus, can i apply this card and get another card for myself and still get the sign in bonus? thank you.

  4. Darius,

    Thanks for making us aware of the extra points. I applied for the Ink Cash (3 months ago) to test things and ended up spending over $10,000 (paying business taxes). I came on your site and saw the offer and applied this morning. It said ‘pending” so I called the reconsideration line to plead my case. 5 minutes later, I was APPROVED. Thank you so much for the info.

    I need to catch up on my quarterly taxes for this year so this will work very very well…. 🙂

  5. I got the 50k offer a couple months ago. Any idea what the chances are of me trying to get this offer retroactively? Possible?

  6. Or people could go into a branch through the middle of November, but that wouldn’t pay you… so why would they ever want to do that. Plus I agree with Al, thank you so much for the daily reminders.

  7. BOLD 50,000 Gone SOon

    You should inform your readers the ink bold will go away in one month. But then again, they don’t pay you right?

  8. FYI, apparently not everyone can do the Refer-a-Friend. I tried to do the Refer-a-Friend, and got this message “This Promotion is currently being tested and only eligible customers will be able to get through the authentication screen to refer a friend. Make sure you entered your information exactly as it appears on your account. If you feel you’ve received this message in error please call the number on the back of your card for assistance.”

    PS. I would use Darius’ link, instead of a branch, because he has helped me out a lot. I wouldn’t be aware of a lot of this stuff if it weren’t for him.

  9. Oh, and I save money because I don’t have to pay for gas to drive to the bank since I rarely go into branch offices anymore.

  10. I got the targeted Ink Plus card offer, but my husband has an Ink Bold and I just cancelled the Ink Plus mastercard. do we risk Chase shutting us down if we apply for this?

  12. Karen Kehr, I am not an expert by any means but from what I have read is your husband could say he wants the plus because he wants the ability to pay over time, He can’t do that with the bold. You could say that many places you have shopped at don’t accept mastercard, (do a quick google search on places that don’t accept mc if you are calling the recordation line so you have them in your back pocket incase they ask)

  13. I applied for the card last night. It asked me to call a credit specialist so I did. He told me that he would recommend an approval of $5,000. I would need to wait for a second review / verification. What does it mean? I called Chase today and he told me that the second review was not done yet. He told me to wait for another 24 hours.

    • @Dennis – I’ve got the bonus for different businesses.

      @kevin – You should be able to.

      @Patti – Congrats!

      @Jeff – Doesn’t hurt to ask!

      @Tim – Thanks for reading – and – commenting!

      @Scott – Thanks!

      @Karen Kehr – I can’t comment specifically, but folks have got both version of the card.

      @Superstar – I’d wait another day before calling!

  14. How many Chase personal cards can you have at once?

  15. I just got my computer repaired and running again and saw your post about the Chase Ink Plus 70K offer expiring today. I would love to take advantage but am concerned about the risk! I just did an app-o-rama in last month including a Chase Marriott Visa. I got the Chase Ink Bold in May and the Chase Sapphire Preferred in January. I also have a Chase IHG Visa. Would it be foolish to apply for the Ink Plus now?

  16. can i aoply gor a 2nd ink as “sole propiertor”a2nd time and get the bonus?wouldi need to hv a difderent buisness

  17. Thanks Darius! I referred a friend (my wife) who will get 75,000 points after the spend and I will get 10,000. A nice added value to get this car and wondering why this isn’t talked about more. Keep providing us all those hidden gems! 85,000 points for $95!

  18. Daraius, I just got an e-mail message saying my October 19 application for the Ink Plus card was approved! I was surprised I didn’t have to call the Reconsideration Line.

    Thank you for your clear writing. Thanks to your advice, we just returned from Japan to SFO on a first class non-stop flight. And now I’ll have some miles to go back to Japan free!
