  1. Asiana, because their service is amongst the best in the industry.

  2. Lufthansa because it’s still a pretty good experience in economy!

  3. Avianca, because its flexibility in redeeming miles from US to Brazil and they have so many options to fly to South America cheaper than any other company.

  4. I like United because I am new to the miles game and it is easy to redeem awards. They
also don’t have expensive fuel surcharges on their award redemptions.

  5. ANA because the service in economy is second to none! Would love to visit my parents and brother in Asia.

  6. I like United Airlines the best because it covers more of the areas I fly to most!

  7. United, as I love those no surcharge fee awards!

  8. United to Asia. Lots of options!!

  9. I like Lufthansa because of the helpful flight attendants and their cute yellow scarves. And they took me to my last Octoberfest.

  10. UNITED all the way!!! Awesome redemptions, lots of award availability. We’re in Chicago which is a United hub, so we can go all over the world easily from the comforts of home. Can’t wait to travel again!

  11. I love United because their miles program is very good. Regardless of high season or low season, they require the same number of points to travel; the points required for travel do not fluctuate according to season. And they have very little black out dates. I have actually traveled around the world using United points!

  12. I love United. I am always able to find availability for my domestic trips.

  13. United. Having small kids I’m having to limit my travels to international only right now and have loved United lately!

  14. Austrian Airlines is my favorite airline for their famous coffee menu in business class.

  15. Singapore Airlines! The best flights I have ever taken. Service impeccable and always with a smile!

  16. I like United because of its fantastic reward redemption especially with stop overs and open jaws even on other star alliance airlines.

  17. Thai Airways for their amazing first class lounge and massage in BKK!

  18. Julie Drassinower

United is my favorite because they fly to the places I want to go and I am able to find availability if I am persistent in looking.

  19. United seems good for redemptions.

  20. United Airlines–because of the many hubs and award flight options!

  21. United. So many flight options from my home airport, lax.

  22. Love Lufthansa for its spectacular first class product.

  23. I’ve had good experiences on EVA!

  24. United Airlines! Because they go nearly everywhere I want to go!

  25. Turkish Airlines is great; flies everywhere, good food, friendly staff.

  26. United! Everywhere I want to be

  27. Eva. love their kitty flight

  28. My favorite Star Alliance member was Aegean before the change to the gold qualifications, but now it is Turkish Airlines. I fly a lot to Turkey, and it is normally a good experience flying with Turkish Airlines.

  29. UA. Handsdown! And they’ll be even better once my SO of whom I remarried gets her passport.

  30. SWISS. There is never a bad time on their aircrafts. Premium spots are amazing!

  31. Turkish Airlines. They have the cheapest fares from Houston, TX to anywhere in Europe. They also the best overall Airline in Europe.

  32. United for the northern South America zone

  33. Aegean. I got gold status in 3 months. Thought it would be lifetime, but I guess 3 years is OK.

  34. Definitely United bc of Ultimate Rewards and our ability to get reasonable award redemptions for my hard earned points. Plus it allowed me to go to Paris for our baby moon!

  35. United. I like their award calendar on their site and the decent availability. It’s no wonder I always use my United miles faster than the others.
I can never get enough of them!

  36. I only flew Lufthansa once to Spain in coach and I was blown away by all the extras that we received ( traveling with a group of students) the extra snacks, the hot wash cloth, the friendly staff, I thought I was in first class. So I would say Lufthansa is my favorite airline.

  37. United b/c they fly out if my home airport to most anywhere I want to go!

  38. I would have to say United – since they fly out of the small airport in my hometown to ORD – and from there I can get just about anywhere I need to go!!

  39. United Airline is my favorite for two reasons. First, I am a student from Cornell University in Ithaca. Ithaca is a relatively isolated area and has a very small regional airport. United is the most convenient airline for me – it offers flights to/from Ithaca and I can get anywhere all over the world by United. Second, it is easy to earn United miles using Chase credit cards. It helps me save a lot of money since I am a student. What I want to mention at the end is my last experience about flying with United. My flight from Newark to Ithaca was cancelled because of aircraft maintenance, and United reassigned me a spot on one flight to Syracuse. The new flight was 8 hour later, and I had to pay for the transportation from Syracuse back to Ithaca. I made the complaint to United after I was back, and United offered me a 1-year voucher up to $225. I was satisfied with the result.

United does play an important role in my travelling days, and I hope I could won United miles 🙂

  40. United here also, they connect me with my girlfriend 😀

  41. United, because I just booked Virginia to Cabo for only 25k points round trip!

  42. Anthony Thomas

My favorite *A member is Singapore Airlines as it’s well position to fly me to the place I love to travel most: SE Asia

  43. I love THAI Airways because their service reflects the culture of the people. The food tastes authentically Thai , the service is excellent – they greet you Sawadika ( which i looked up means Hello!), their national costume is very beautiful. and the are very sincere and warm people at least on my flight from LAX to Seoul.

  44. United Airlines, because I live next to one of the hubs(EWR)…

  45. I love the story about the lost passport. I don’t have a story like that but my husband has health problems and we spend the winter in Puerto Vallarta and always fly United from CMH to HOU to PVR. We have used our free club passes that come with our Chase explorer card to amazing advantage. Last January we missed our flight to PV in Houston due to weather and I was automatically booked two days later. I went into the club and the concierge immediately booked us on first flight out the next day. Other people were coming into club without a pass hoping for help b/c the line at the counter was 1 1/2 hours long. It is a great advantage and I highly recommend it.

  46. Thai airways has awesome business class food!

  47. Love United miles for getting to South Africa!

  48. United is my favorite because they make it easy to get awards with no YQ.

  49. Air Canada because of their friendly staff!

The first class terminal in Frankfurt is Awesome! 🙂

  58. Air Canada because of friendly service.

  59. United Airlines is my choice! They take me where I want to go!

  60. My choice is United Airlines because it’s got a base in Newark, NJ, which is on a major rail line making it easy to reach from my home. Plus I have the United Airlines credit card! So, United it is. 🙂

  61. Singapore Airlines. The best cabin crew service and the best uniforms.

  62. I love those foreign carriers, but United Airlines is still my favorite to book with for the ease of search and booking online. I’d use these miles to fly United to almost any destination in South America!

  63. Air New Zealand! Lovely flight attendants on very long flights, delicious food, and Hobbit-inspired safety videos made our trip to NZ and back a delight!

  64. United is my favorite on that list because some of the others that I’m familiar with charge high fuel surcharges, no thanks!

  67. East or west UNITED is best….

  68. l love EVA the most. The service is good and the foods are great.

  69. Timothy Graham

My favorite airline is United because they fly everywhere

  70. Asiana First class was the best for me so far.

  71. Thai Airways…Royal Orchid Spa!

  72. United. Hoping to have enough miles for trip to Europe in May!

  73. United Airlines because they always find room for me on their flights out of DCA when I need to go to Chicago to see my girlfriend!

  74. United! Great for award travel!

  75. I love THAI Airways because the service is excellent. The attention of the crew members are intentional in every way. It makes you feel at home. Truly Asia…

  76. Definitely Lufthansa. Many years ago when I was a poor graduate student I was flying home for Christmas on Northwest from Dulles to London Heathrow and then by train on to Edinburgh. My Heathrow flight was overbooked and although I was in time for check-in there were no seats left. Northwest was able to get me a later flight on Lufthansa from Dulles to Frankfurt and I asked if they could connect me from Frankfurt to Edinburgh instead of my original destination of Heathrow. The Lufthansa agent said the Edinburgh flight wasn’t much more than the Heathrow flight and agreed to get me all the way home. I was therefore able to fly all the way to Edinburgh, arriving much earlier than my original flight/train combination plan and I saved the cost of the London/Edinburgh train ticket.
I don’t know if they’d be as flexible nowadays but it certainly left me with an extremely positive attitude towards Lufthansa and since then I’ve always tried to fly with them whenever I had a choice.

  77. I’d like to say Lufthansa, because I think they would be best, but I’ve yet to get a chance to fly them, usually stuck on United.

  78. I love United because of the number of worldwide destinations and non-stop service from DEN.

  79. I like ANA primarily because of the distance-based award chart prices, and I can use my starwood points when necessary.

  80. United – that’s who we fly with.

  81. It’s gotta be United since it was super easy to find award seats for my trip home from Tokyo soon. Thanks UA! BTW, I really need to start replenishing my miles (hint, hint!)

  82. THAI Airways for their business class and lounges.

  83. United Airlines, because: 1) United Miles are so versatile and can take us almost anywhere on this beautiful Planet 2) because United provides a great product, when I fly Transatlantic routes
    3) because they are Partner of Chase and transfer 1:1 and lastly because it’s the US-based Airline that we all can be proud of !!!

  84. UNITED. period. I even have a United 787 airplane scale model on display in my office. I also have a Lufthansa although I have never flown LH. Help me top off my United MileagePlus account, D!

  85. I have not flown them all but Eva by far was one of my favorites. I love the extra space they give you as well as their version of economy plus

  86. I love the award availability route network of UA! Star Alliance is great too for the options to Asia!

  87. Mad queen linda

United! It’s one of the few airlines that actually flies out of our itty bitty airport

  88. UA has a great and simple site

  89. United flight to Paris last fall was a great flight.

  90. Lufthansa it is!

  91. Dotty Robinson Brown Carriker

United is the only one on the list that I have flown so I will give them my vote

  92. Paul Hrebenach

United has the best tasting pretzels and peanuts.

  93. I love United Airline although its mileage value went down in early this year due to the following reasons.

    1. Availbility of Reward Seats: during thhe busy season, it not hard to find reward seat (economy)
    2. Offering Various route : i can stop (layover) in Euorpe when I go to Asia
    3. Can issue reward seats for third parties.

  94. Just got back from the Emirates via Frankfurt on Lufthansa – the German chocolates are blissful!

  95. I love UA for it’s website’s ease of use and because it only
“cost” 60,000 points for my upcoming R/T flight to Istanbul,
Turkey. However, half my flight is via Turkish Air, so I may have
a new preference by the time I return to the US!

  96. If it weren’t for all of the other lucrative airline credit-card deals out there, I would stick with United!

  97. I love United, I like their flexibility to redeem their miles for award trips

  98. United. I live close to a hub in Denver.

  99. Lufthansa! Because they fly to multiple continents and they always seem to do it with such class.
