How Do You Earn a Free Car Rental Day?

You get a free rental when you earn 600 points, which you get after 2 rentals.  Here’s how it works:

Step 1 – Register for the Promotion

You can only earn free rental days on qualifying car rentals booked after you register.  So go to National’s site and sign-up for the promotion.

If You Aren’t Already a National Emerald Club Member, You Will Have to Sign-Up First

Step 2 – Complete 2 Qualifying Rentals

After you register, you will earn 1 free car rental day when you complete 2 National car rentals within the US.   Each rental must be 2 consecutive days or more and completed by January 31, 2015.   If you have a long-term car rental planned, you can earn 300 points for every 4 consecutive days.

The car rental must be at least a mid-size vehicle.

Step 3 –  Wait for the Free Car Rental Coupon to Appear in Your Account

It can take up to 5 days to receive points for your car rental.  Once the 600 points post to your account, a coupon will automatically appear on your My Activity” page within 48 hours.

You Will Get an Email From National When Your Free Rental Day Certificate Is in Your Account

If you don’t receive your points or coupons call National’s customer service at 800-962-7070.

More Ways to Earn Points

You can earn points for more than just car rentals.  For example, you will earn 300 points when you refer friends or family who sign-up for the promotion and complete their 1st rental.  You can get this bonus up to 10 times.

How Do You Use the Free Car Rental Certificate?

Go to the “My Activity” tab to access and redeem your free rental coupons.  You must use your Free Car Rental Day coupons before they expire at 11:59 pm on June 15, 2015.  You can book a compact to full-size car at least 24 hours in advance.

You can only use a maximum of 3 Free Car Rental Day coupons per rental period of 3 or more consecutive days.   The coupons are NOT transferable.

Note:  Free Car Rental Day coupons are only good towards the base rate of the rental.  You will have to pay for taxes, fees, and any add-ons.

How to Make This Deal Even Better!
