  1. My husband has accumulated a large amount of Lufthansa miles. We live in the US. We wanted to use them to book a United flight to London. If we used United miles, it cost 60K miles and $184 in fees. If It was to use Lufthansa miles for the same flight, it would be 50K miles and over $650 in fees. Is there any way to get around the large fees that Lufthansa charges?
