New members of MileagePlus Dining can earn a quick 500 United Airlines miles.
Note: If you’re already a member, you’re ineligible for the 500 mile sign-up bonus. Some folks set up new accounts and then call to merge them, but that crosses my line.
Here’s how to get the 500 United Airlines miles and as many as 3,000 bonus miles.
3 Quick Steps to 500 United Airlines Miles
1. Register for the New Member Enrollment Bonus
Take 30 seconds to sign-up for the MileagePlus program. Be sure to allow the program to email you promotional messages. Because then you’ll get 3 United Airlines miles per $1 spent at participating restaurants instead of 1 United Airline mile per $2 spent.
You may or may not want to use your primary email address but be sure it’s an account you can access!
2. Enter Your Address & United Airlines MileagePlus Number
Take another half minute to complete your membership page.
3. Enter a Credit Card
Your credit card will NOT be charged! It’s on file so MileagePlus Dining knows when you use that credit card at participating restaurants. And that’s when they’ll award United Airlines miles to your account.
Even if you never go to a MileagePlus Dining restaurant, you’ll still get the 500 bonus miles.
MileagePlus Dining is part of RewardsNetwork and when you spend at 1 of their participating restaurants, you’ll get miles for every dollar you spend. I’ve explained how to make the most of the RewardsNetwork program.
How to Get 2,500 More Bonus Miles
Now that you’re newly in the Mileage Plus Dining program, you can also get a bonus of 500 miles for each of your 1st 5 times using your registered credit card at participating restaurants, bars, or clubs.
So that’s another 2,500 United Airlines miles, for a total of 3,000! That incentive expires 30 days after you register for the program.
I like to stack an extra 2X Chase Ultimate Rewards points (which can be transferred 1:1 to United Airlines) for each dollar I spend eating out by using my Chase Sapphire Preferred card. And for business meals I use my Chase Ink Cash to get 2% back at restaurants.
But if you have the Chase Freedom card, you get 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points at restaurants until June 30, 2014.

If you’re not registered in MileagePlus Dining, you’re missing easy ways to earn United Airlines miles.
As extra motivation to get you into their free program, MileagePlus Dining is giving you 500 United Airlines miles to join.
The program is designed to promote their roster of restaurants and bars so you may not want to use your main email address. But in my experience they don’t send too many messages and it’s an easy way to get extra United Airlines miles.
