Update:   The Chase Ink Bold card is no longer available for new sign-ups.

You can get 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after you meet the minimum spending on the Chase Ink Plus and Chase Ink Bold card.  But how long will the offer last?

The sign-up bonuses on the Chase Ink Plus and the Chase Ink Bold cards have increased to 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points (up from 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points) after spending $5,000 within the 1st 3 months.  And the $95 annual fee is waived for the 1st year.

There was a 60,000 point offer for the Chase Ink Bold and the Chase Ink Plus cards last June for Small Business Week, but it lasted for ~1 week.  It was 1 of the most popular offers of last year!

When Will The Chase Ink 60,000 Ultimate Rewards Point Offers End

Some Folks Used Their 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards Points for Hawaii

The sign-up bonus for the Ink Bold once was $10,000 within 3 months, so the special offer for 60,000 points after spending $5,000 within the 1st 3 months is a good offer!

The Chase Ink cards used to be issued as MasterCards, but are now issued as Visa cards.  Folks are reporting that the Visa cards are considered different products and it may be possible to get the Visa version of the Ink cards as well.  The Visa versions get you additional discounts in the Visa Savings Edge program.

But When Will the Chase Ink 60,000 Point Offer End?

Readers have been asking when the 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points sign-up bonus offer on the Chase Ink Plus and the Chase Ink Bold cards will end.  And the answer is no one really knows.  It’s marketed as a limited time offer.

But we can make some educated guesses

However, last year’s 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points offer lasted ~ 1 week.  Because this week, May 12, 2014, to May 16, 2014, is Small Business week, it could be that the 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points offer will end on May 16, 2014.  And reader Brennan commented that he was told by Chase it would end this week.  That said, I doubt that it will end within the next two days because there is no warning that the offer is ending soon.

But other folks have been reporting different end dates.  Some readers like Adam have commented that the 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points offer will last until the end of the month (May 31, 2014).  While folks on Flyertalk have received targeted offers that end on June 16, 2014.

That said, I’ve heard unofficially that the offer will end on May 31, 2014…

Bottom Line

You can get 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after completing the minimum spending on the Chase Ink Bold and Chase Ink Plus card.

But it’s a limited time offer.  And no one really knows when the offer will end.  The 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points sign-up offer might end on May 16, 2014, May 31, 2014, or June 16, 2014.  But I’d guess it ends on May 31, 2014.

If you were going to apply for the cards, the extra 10,000 points on the Chase Ink Bold and Chase Ink Plus cards could make it worth applying before this offer ends.

  1. This card must be really paying the affiliates well…it’s beating the mentions of the Arrival Card now 2-1!

Every Credit Card blog I follow is pushing this particular card to the max right now…one guy even sends out 5 tweets each day talking about some particular individual benefit of having this card…like one simple summary won’t do.

I haven’t pulled the trigger on this yet…so thanks for letting us know of the “unofficial” end date. I’m getting ready for a major AppORama in the next week or two and would like to include this card – I just don’t know which affiliate link to click on yet, to help spread the wealth around – so to say.

  2. I applied for the Chase card last week online and was told I have to “wait for a response in the mail and do not apply again.” I haven’t been turned down by any other crdit cards for the past 18 months. I am worried that by the time I hear from them that it will be too late to call a reconsideration line. Can I go ahead and call it to find out what’s up with it?

  3. @Nancy, you should call immediately and ask for expedited review for the card approval.

@Darius, We applied for this card last week and got confirmation from the rep that the offer will stay true till 31st May. So your hunch is correct.

  4. @Darius, Should I apply for this card or a a targeted offer from American Express for the Platinum Card (Spend 3k in 3 months and get 100,000 membership points).

  5. Do you have to go to a brick and mortar staples store or can you go on staples.com and buy visa gift cards to accumnulate 5x points?

  6. Are these Chase cards only for people who have their own business?

  7. Approved! A year ago, I got Chase to match the 60K from 50K, but they accidentally gave me 70K.

  8. My husband just got approved for the Ink Plus card on Monday 5/12; asked for expedited delivery and received the card today. He also had the Mastercard version of the same card. However, on the piece of paper that his new card was attached to, it said this was replacing his Mastercard. So now we’re not sure if he’s still getting the 60k bonus since I heard that they were already in the process of converting the cards. Tried to call tonight but they were having issues. Will try again tomorrow to clarify the 60k bonus points. Anyone who previously had the Mastercard version got their new Visa cards yet and still qualified for the bonus?

  9. @Adi – Thanks for the update!

@Scotty – I’d do both! But if I had to pick one it would be the 100K offer.

@ben – Online purchases at Office Supply stores count.

  10. As Mike inquired, do you have to have or own a business to get these cards?

  11. @Darius, I just received word that I am approved for the card. Have you heard of anyone getting approved for both? If so how long should I wait before applying for the next. Thanks 🙂

  12. @Matt – These are business cards, but even start up businesses or businesses with low or no income (currently) could qualify.

@Kam – I’ve got both cards, but would suggest waiting ~3 months before trying for another business card.
