Happy Mother’s Day to our mom readers!  Emily and I hope you have a lovely and relaxing day with your families.  (Or maybe a quiet day off by yourself?) 🙂

Did you remember to get a Mother’s Day gift for the special moms in your life?  Of course the best gift is spending time with her, but if you want to get her a gift, you still have time.

Happy Mother’s Day to All of Our Moms!

If You Forgot, It’s NOT Too Late!

You can still find a great gift or gift card for your favorite Mom.  And you might be able to earn extra points by doing so!

1.   Flowers

In some areas, mom will receive your gift today if you order at 1-800-Flowers.com by 11:30 am in mom’s timezone.

You Might Still Be Able to Order Mom Flowers Today

If you decide to order flowers, be sure to go through a shopping portal or use a promotional code, like in the Southwest deal I wrote about.  Try promotion codes “RR29” to earn 1,750 Southwest points when you buy at least ~$30 worth of flowers.

I checked Evreward and it lists cash back and miles & points bonuses for 1-800-Flowers.  So depending on whether you prefer cash back or extra points, you can choose the portal that makes sense for you.

You could also try FTD through a shopping portal for up to 35X points.  But I didn’t see any guarantees of same-day Mother’s Day delivery on either of their websites, so it’s best to check first.

There Are Higher Shopping Portal Payouts for Flowers, but You Might Not Get Same-Day Mother’s Day Delivery

2.   If Mom Lives Nearby

Don’t let Mom cook on Mother’s Day!  You could take her out for a nice meal and maybe treat her to a movie.  Remember to use your Chase Freedom card at restaurants to earn 5X points or 5% cash back this quarter.

If you don’t have the Chase Freedom, use the Chase Sapphire Preferred for 2X points.

Or if Mom likes a particular chain restaurant, you can use your AMEX EveryDay Preferred to buy that restaurant’s gift card at the supermarket to earn up to 4.5X American Express Membership Rewards points.

3.   E-Gift Cards

Many stores sell e-gift cards online, including Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s, and more.  And Amazon sells gift cards to lots of other stores.

You could search for Mom’s favorite store online and see if they sell e-gift cards.  If they do, be sure to check Evreward to see if you can get more points or cash back by going through a shopping portal.

Or, Gift Card Mall sells e-gift cards to dozens of popular stores and restaurants.

Send Mom Shopping (NOT the Grocery Kind!) This Mother’s Day

Don’t forget to check Evreward and shop through a portal to get extra points at Gift Card Mall, too!

Bottom Line

If you forgot to pick up a gift for your favorite Mom this Mother’s Day, there’s still time!  You can make her feel special by sending flowers, e-gift cards, or taking her out for a nice meal.

No matter what you decide, the best gift is spending time with Mom and loved ones.  Earning extra miles and points is just a bonus.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms from Emily and me!
